What To Expect

Explore one of Canada’s most beautiful cities on this full-day tour of Victoria and Butchart Gardens. Your excursion begins with morning pickup from your select Vancouver or Richmond hotel, followed by a scenic ferry ride through the Gulf Islands. 

Dock on Vancouver Island with the whole day ahead of you. Hop aboard the awaiting coach, and get a lay of the land as you travel to Victoria. Then enjoy leisure time to grab some lunch (own expense) and visit landmarks like the Royal BC Museum, Parliament Buildings, Fairmont Empress Hotel, and Chinatown.

Saving the best for last, your Victoria tour concludes with a visit to Butchart Gardens. Stroll along flower-lined paths, discover the many themed gardens, and admire the remarkable landscaping.

After your garden tour, head to the ferry for the relaxing ride back to Vancouver. Your tour ends with return service to your departure point.

We took the tour knowing about the garden. We had no idea how beautiful Victoria would be. Out tour guide, Jennifer was outstanding the entire time. You should know that we were picked up from our hotel at 8:45. There were several stops to get other passengers (we waited at one hotel for over 10 minutes for a couple. Our last stop the guests were waiting but 2 people already on the bus announced that they would be using the restroom so we had to wait for them! We got to the Ferry Terminal and just missed the 10 am departure, we had to wait until 11 to start our adventure. So be prepared to wait. The city was beautiful, the gardens are outstanding!! Enjoy

Tour guide Alex was very good But ..most of the day was travel time. Not nearly enough time in Victoria. Basically ate and ran down the main street. Would have liked time to explore government building and walk the park. Butchart Gardens pretty but not all areas in bloom. Should have 1 or 2 pick up spots as advertised on tour site. Lots of time spent pucking up and dropping off guests.

The trip was all day from Vancouver to Victoria but our driver/ guide was an excellent one. He was kind, respectful, courteous and an expert historian. He was detailed in explaining what to expect for the day!

Excellent tour and tour guide. Had a lot of flexibility within the tour time to do what was most interesting for the participants, such as independent activities in downtown Victoria, lunch on our own, et. Excellent tour guide (who was also our driver).

This was a day well spent! We loved Victoria but wished we had more time. There is much to see and restaurants and shopping galore! Butchart Gardens was unforgettable, definitely a must see! It's a long day but well worth it!
Fabulously Comprehensive Tour!

Greg was our guide and he was a fantastic driver and facts/story teller. Given that the LandSea Tour Company also included a pick-up and drop-off, there was nothing more for the passengers to do other than to enjoy listening to Greg's stories and enjoying the scenery. Greg allowed for interesting detours as time allowed and he shared stories of his own travels and experiences. This entire tour was approximately 13 hours, but it certainly felt like the time just zipped by as every aspect of the tour was enjoyable. Truly, a fabulous tour!

The entire garden is magnificent! Pictures are great but the experience in person is breathtaking! The Japanese garden is like no other. The sunken garden is a sight to be stared at for hours!

Obviously the most memorable part was Buchart Gardens (4x visitor). Tulips were in bloom along with the cherry and magnolia trees. Byron, our guide was very knowledgeable. The small group helped make it more personal.

Most memorable? Tim, our tour guide. He was fabulous, personable and extremely knowledgeable. He made a point of providing background information on points of interest of both places we passed and those stopped at. The ferry ride was enjoyable, the Garden was exceptional with beautiful flowers galore. Chinatown was disappointing - just a block long and not very picturesque. We had a short walk to the pick-up point, but the Parliament Building was awesome and the other building equally interesting.

Bryce was such a great tour guide. Prompt pick up and drop off at our hotel. And he timed and planned the day out perfectly. We had enough time at each location and made it to our ferry on time. The tour overall was a great experience and my family loved it. Would definitely recommend to travelers visiting Vancouver if they need a day trip.

Brent was a very knowledgeable pleasant and professional tour guide.Nothing was too much trouble for him. It’s a long day with a lot of travelling but it seemed to fly by and the ferry ride to Victoria was very memorable. The Butchart Gardens were simply stunning and a highlight of the trip. All in all a very enjoyable day which was superbly organised by the tour operator and guide. Victoria was beautiful and somewhere you could easily spend several days. In some ways it was very relaxing to get away from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver with all its high rise buildings, but that is to take nothing away from such a beautiful City which has so much to offer. To sum up a thoroughly enjoyable trip but be prepared for a long day!

The whole day was fascinating and well-paced. Victoria and the gardens were great. The ferry ride was beautiful. Even the drive was enjoyable thanks to Alex’s friendly and casual, but information-packed, stories.

Byron our guide was very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. My wife and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary on the day of this tour and Bryson was very helpful with dining recommendations, helping take pictures, and even addressing a concern with the Buchard garden staff after my wife was asked to remove a hair bow that was made of white sheer material that resembled a veil. Other than that incident the tour was terrific and Byron made a long day fly by.

Victoria is a beautiful city. You must stop in at the historic Empress Hotel. Butchart Gardens are stunning. Brent is an excellent tour guide and navigator.
