The trip and sites we visited were excellent, only concern was that our tour guide did not follow a time schedule and dropped us off at the ship 2 minutes before the last tender. Lucky for us the ship had extended the port time, otherwise we would have been in trouble. Had there been any traffic delays, we would have missed the ship.

If you prefer silent mini-bus rides over Ubers, you might like this. But if you want an actual tour, this is not for you. The tour guide spoke for only a few minutes in a 2-hour bus ride, providing minimal information. We were left to fend for ourselves during the 1/2 hour Rock of Cashel stop while the guide wandered alone, rather than providing information or help. Perhaps we could have bought a tour at the Rock itself, but we were not given the information or opportunity to do so. The Smithwick’s tour was fine, although it is no longer an operating brewery, and the final stop - a cathedral tour in Kilkenny - was skipped since we could not go inside the church. But our driver was great!

Dear Jamie,
We are sorry to read that our tour has not been as good as you expect, but I would like to clarify a couple of points: the journey from Dunmore East Port to Rock of Cashel takes 1.15 minutes / 1.30 minutes maximum of which our guide (Marisol) has been offering various explanations through the route, about 30 minutes.
I would also like to inform you that Rock of Cashel does not have the option of a guided tour only self-guided tour, where Marisol offers different explanations at the beginning of the visit about this great castle.
Once this visit is over, the tour heads towards the port of Kilkenny, which it is a small village where Marisol has taught the most relevant part of it, finally you visit Smithwick's experience that has spectacular reviews and they take care of each tour in detail.
Finally, according to the feedback from Marisol , you had been offered to visit St. Canice's cathedral but it has been rejected by the group and they preferred to stay in a pub drinking something extra.
Lastly, I would like to point out that we have received other messages from other passengers on this group saying the great work done by Marisol + driver
Perhaps on a future occasion we can suggest you book a private tour just for your party, I am sure you will feel more comfortable.

El recorrido de la excursión nos gustó mucho pero quedamos descontentos con lo siguiente: 1) No servía el aire acondicionado del autobús y como el día fue muy caluroso pasamos muchísimo calor, fue realmente incomodo. 2) La guía nos pareció muy inexperta, por ejemplo en la Roca de Cashel no nos recomendó que visitáramos la capilla románica (que es la joya del lugar), cuando quisimos entrar ya no daba tiempo; todos los demás grupos de otras excursiones si lo hicieron con sus guías. 3) La visita a la cervecería no vale la pena (quizá esta visita haga que este tour sea lo caro que es en comparación con otros que tomamos en este viaje) 4) El chofer no conducía adecuadamente y fue poco amable.

Le agradecemos desde ya sus comentarios, me gustaria comentar algunos de sus puntos:
1 - en Waterford ese dia hubo 23 grados, con lo cual el calor no era excesivo, es verdad que el autobus no tenia aire acondicionado pero en Irlanda es frecuente debido a la falta de esta necesidad, le adjunto un link donde puede supervisar la temperatura el 06.09: https://www.waterfordcityweather.com/
2 . respecto a la guía le tengo que comentar que he recibido quejas de su parte porque ustedes han insistido en hacer el tour en castellano cdo esta claramente establecido que es en ingles, le adjunto comentarios de otros pasajeros en este tour: She had awesome info and did her best with a rough crowd
3. me gustaria añadir que hemos recibido varios comentarios de otros pasajeros respecto a su comportamiento en el tour.. le adjunto alguno: Helena was awesome. Some of the people were not. The Spanish speakers were extremely rude and gave her a very hard time. They spoke loudly when she was speaking.
4. respecto a la capilla románica de Rock of Cashel nuestro descriptivo no dice que este incluido en caso que su deseo fuese ese, sin lugar a dudas le pudimos ayudar pero con tiempo de antelación, le aconsejamos para la próxima vez que se informe previamente las visitas que incluye cada tour
5.Por ultimo, el chofer es un gran profesional con mas de 10 años de experiencia en conduccion
6. Señora Begoña, en el futuro nos gustaria recomendarle que considere realizar tours privados en vez de compartidos, sin lugar a dudas cubrirán mejor sus necesidades, donde puede incluir o quitar visitas a su gusto y tambien se podria desarrollar en castelladno, claro el precio sin lugar a dudas seria mucho mas alto

1 - in Waterford 06.09 was 23 degrees, so the heat was not excessive, it is true that the bus did not have air conditioning but in Ireland it is common due to the lack of this need, I attach a link where you can monitor the temperature on that specific date https://www.waterfordcityweather.com/

Regarding the guide, I have to tell yo, I have received complaints from our great professional because you have insisted on doing the tour in Spanish since it is clearly established that it is in English. I attach comments from other passengers on this tour about our tour guide: She had awesome info and did her best with a rough crowd
3. I would like to add that we have received several comments from other passengers regarding your behavior on the tour... I am attaching some: Helena was awesome. Some of the people were not. 4. Regarding the Romanesque chapel of Rock of Cashel, our description does not say that it is included in case your wish was that, without a doubt we could help you but with time in advance, we advise you to inform yourself in advance the next time which visits included in each tour
5.Finally, the driver is a great professional with more than 10 years of driving experience
6. Mrs. Begoña, in the future we would like to recommend you consider taking private tours instead of shared ones, without a doubt they will better cover your needs, where you can include or remove visits as per your needs and it could also be done on Spanish language, of course the price without a doubt it would be much higher
