Soren was amazing! He is so knowledgeable about the history of the area and added many anecdotes as we toured each site. We had some specific interests to which he was very accommodating including finding a gravesite for one of our relatives! Highly recommend Søren and this tour!

We had a marvelous afternoon with Soren Hawkes touring WWI battle sites and monuments. Especially poignant was seeing the unrestored trenches at Sanctuary Wood. Soren is incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic. As a Brit, his English is fluent. Would highly recommend him

We had the privilege of a private tour with the incredibly knowledgeable Søren through the Ypres Battlefield. His anecdotes and nuanced understanding of the wartime era made the experience deeply engaging and humbling. The tour, filled with somber reflections, brought forth profound emotions of sadness, remembrance, and grief. Søren's guidance led us to various bunkers and trench sites still preserved, and poignant memorials. Søren also included in his tour the memorials dedicated to the brave soldiers of Canada and India, since we have connections to both countries. As we stood among the graves, we couldn't help but reflect on the human condition and the toll of war. Throughout it all, Soren was an invaluable companion, offering insight and respect at every turn. We have nothing but gratitude for Søren, and we highly recommend his private tour when you visit Flanders Fields and Ypres.

Soren was so very informative and interesting to listen to. My husband is interested in the WW1 battlefields having served in the army himself and had relatives who gave their lives in WW1 however Soren made this experience entertaining and informative for all our family. We all learnt so much about Ypres and the battles fought nearby during that tragic period of history. Do yourself a favour and book this tour it is well worth the money. Thanks Soren

Half day tour and honestly by the time we had finished he was with us the whole day....
Amazing history and knowledge......He actually changed things around and gave us more info relating to where we were from (new Zealand) versus could have been Australian...
His name was Soren and could'nt say enough about him!!!! Off the charts...
