Poor Communication and Organisation

The organisation and communication of those running the trip was very poor. We arranged an apartment pick up and were told to be ready for 7:15. And without notice or contact we were not picked up until 8:10. We thought we’d been forgotten. We were then shipped off to collect more people and were all then transferred into a small, uncomfortable mini bus as the main bus had already left. We were not informed that the main highway was closed, so had to take a 3hour route instead. Then there was an unexplained 30 minute stop on the way there, just 20 minutes from the lakes. Once we got there a man from the main bus came to give us our tickets and explained we would get an extra 30minutes in the park due to our delay, so if we wanted to do the main trail, then we would have to walk quick with limited stops. However, the lakes were truly beautiful, so fully made up for the delay and bad organisation and communication of the company. I would definitely return to the lakes again, but will look into different travel options of getting there.

Tour all on time, scenic journey and even more scenic when you arrive. Driver recommended route C and we had plenty of time, the lakes were quieter as April is slightly off season. There are also alternative options if you don’t want to walk as far and cafes on the way around. A must see in Zadar and this is the best company due to tickets being included and hotel pick up offered.

Me and my partner visited last August and it was amazing. The views were lovely. The guide was lovely. Would recommend. They offer 3 different hikes in which increase in difficulty. Make sure to bring water when it’s hot !

We had a wonderful day. It was such a unique experience. Mario explained the trip and accompanied us around Route B. After the punt ride, we were then able to walk Route C by ourselves which was very easy with clear signage and well defined paths, or take the shorter route B. We had an excellent day for the amount of time we had. The bus ride was smooth and covered some lovely country.

The park is stunning. It is large but every corner we turned delighted us even more! It is worth the trip to Croatia just to see this unique piece of nature. I read up on the science behind the park before visiting which made me appreciate it even more.

Picked up on time by a friendly driver. Nice comfort break on the way. Skip the line access was great as the place was very busy. Both the driver and the guide made sure we had their phone numbers in case we needed them, however they gave us good and clear directions on how to navigate the park and which routes they recommended so they were thankfully not needed! I took the C route and even though it was very busy I had plenty of time to make it back and relax for an hour with a beer before departure. Bus departed on time and we were back in the city for the time they promised.

Plitvice lakes is a must do. This trip was a quick way to explore the magnificent park. I was picked up, and was dropped off. We started and finished on time and had a break on the way to the park.

There was nothing wrong with the tour itself. Everything went well……. Coming from the US, we knew very little about Plitvice. The tour guide was worthless….. He told us absolutely nothing about the park….. all he was was a baby sitter on the bus…. We were on the bus for several hours getting to the park, and he said nothing,,, absolutely nothing to us except what time to be back from the park.

Dear Jerra, the excursion is without a guide, as it's stated in a details of our tour, because guide is not even needed in the park. With you on the bus was our host/operator who is only there for instructions, important information and tickets to the national park. Due to better organization within the park itself, our Host also passes part of the route to make the passenger's experience more pleasant. We are sorry if you concluded his role differently.

I would really recommend this excursion. We made use of the hotel pick up, this was really straight forward. 2 hours drove including a rest stop. When we got there we had immediate access to lakes with no queue. There was a guide who you could follow or not. He was really clear and helpful. The lakes are stunning, it is simply paradise and well worth visiting. I would recommend packing your own lunch, there are stops where you can buy food and drinks, but if you are going at peak times these areas can get quite busy. Good value for money, really well organised!

Incredibly beautiful National park which must be visited if you have the opportunity when in Zadar. Sure there was some delays and busy queues in the park on the day, but what do you expect when you book a trip during the peak of the season? Trip was well organised and the team did their best on the day! Would recommend!

Looks exactly like the pictures! Amazing place, well worth a visit and easy to follow the routes. Pick up & drop off all fine, tour guide gave a little info but I wouldn't class this as a guided tour. I was happy read up on the area and to explore on my own so this didn't bother me but if your looking for a full tour then this might not be for you.

Good way to travel to Plitvice

Arranging pick up from the apartment we were staying in was easy, the pick up and drop off from apartment to main meeting site was also easy. The guys that ran the tour were lovely. However, being sorted into the different buses felt a little disorganised. Our group had arrived first but me and my sister were last to be sent to the bus and there wasn’t enough room on the one we’d been directed to. Luckily there were some spare seats on the smaller coach but it was worrying for a short period of time as it wasn’t clear if they did have room to take us, despite us booking this months ago. We had paid in full before the trip and it felt like those who had paid deposits or owed the full amount were prioritised. There was more than enough time at Plitvice (about 5 hours) and this is definitely a must-do for anyone visiting Croatia. It’s truly stunning. I’d recommend if possible visiting during the week or out of season if you’re able to. We went on a Saturday in July and it was incredibly busy! It didn’t always feel like you could stop to appreciate it all because there were queues of people everywhere. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Croatia though so it’s likely to always be quite busy. Make sure you take lots of water and snacks and pack the insect repellant! The route is easy to follow without a guide. Each route is clearly signposted and there are members of staff near the boats and buses to help direct you. I would not say booking a tour is necessary. If you feel confident driving that might be a better option as you can stay for as long or as little as you like. For anyone not confident driving this is a good option. Just have it in mind that it is a long journey and an early start- We were picked up at 7.30am and got back to Zadar around 6pm. The bus does stop on the way for a comfort break
