Best Way to See Antigua
This is the best way to see Antigua. It was just the four of us with a guide and a driver. We saw a lot more than had we been in a big bus and the cost was actually less. Moses was a fantastic guide and was there waiting for us as soon as we got off of the ship. He even took us places that were not a typical place for tours (like inside the mayor's office because it had a better view of the square).

Antigua’s colonial-era convents and monasteries

As the former colonial capital of Guatemala, Antigua has an abundance of noteworthy religious buildings. Visit the 18th-century Las Capuchinas (Convento de las Capuchinas), a magnificent example of colonial architecture; La Recolección, an 18th-century monastery founded by French Franciscan monks; and the Antiguo Colegio de la Compañía de Jesús, a Jesuit monastery and college that has been converted into a cultural center.
