Visitors come to the national park to hike, climb, and mountain bike, while the coastal cliffs are also a popular spot for paragliding. Scenic hiking trails lead to and around the scattered ruins of the ancient cities of Phaselis, Idyros, and Olympos, also located in the park. The star attraction, though, is the Olympos Cable Car (Olympos Teleferik), which scales the 12,500-foot-high (2,365-meter-high) Tahtali Mountain—the ancient Mount Olympus—which is also the park’s highest peak. From the top, the panoramic views reach from the Mediterranean coast to the Taurus Mountains inland.
