Devon House

26 Hope Road, Kingston

The basics

The Devon House, though well-preserved, is now a buzzing lifestyle hub. Original stables and kitchen have been repurposed to host more than two dozen shops and cafés, making Devon House a National Monument that you can revisit. The tour lasts 30 minutes, but you can spend hours admiring the gardens on a leisurely stroll.

Most visitors stop at the Devon House during historical tours of Kingston. With the Bob Marley Museum, and Hope Zoo and Botanical Gardens close by, a guided tour or a private car service helps you see the best of Kingston conveniently. You’ll hear Devon House’s name throughout your time in Kingston, though not about the mansion itself. The name lends itself to the Devon House Bakery and Devon House I Scream parlor, located on the mansion grounds and throughout the island.

Birthcation Celebration in Kingston
I enjoyed Mr. Shane with the Bob Marley tour. He was very informative entertaining and very helpful. I also enjoyed Ms. Norma with the Devon House tour. She even wore the dress for the time period which was real enlightening. The National Gallery of Jamaican Art was wonderful. It was worth every minute of the 4 hours to and from Negril. A truly wonderful Birthday experience 💖
