High on the Bolivian Altiplano, the city of Tiwanaku sits like a frozen time capsule of Andean history. One of the most fascinating and mind-boggling sites in South America, the UNESCO-listed ruins are believed to be the ancient capital of the Tiwanaku Empire, which once stretched across Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina.

Great tour
Overall tour was good, the guide was great and had a lot of knowledge, my only negative was the pace of the tour and day which was very slow

Awesome tour! Unique and memorable expereince!
Great tour, Caleb is very passionate and knowledgeable about Bolivia. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had a great trip. He asked us what we were interested in to make the tour was personable and he made some stops along the way to show us great viewpoints that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. Just a heads up, he is definitely a character, so be prepared for a unique experience.

Ruins
The ruins were very cool to see in person and was not too crowded. The views of the surrounding mountains were also very beautiful and made for some great pictures. Also the ride to and from La Paz was not too long. Very good trip!!!

Amazing Day
Caleb was extremely personable and has lived an extraordinarily interesting life, his storytelling in tandem with the history of the La Paz region meant there was never a dull moment. Since he's lived in Bolivia for the past 12 years he knows the locals very well, he would pass people on the street he knew... in fact we met up with another local who was kind enough to give us a boat ride on Lake Titicaca. Lunch was a superb cookout on the lake and the star of the show Tiwanaku was incredibly cool to see. Definitely recommend this tour!
