Warm springs bubble around and under Lake Koycegiz, making mud baths a signature of the waterfront town of Dalyan. Minerals give the mud a sulfur smell, but can, locals say, work miracles on aging skin. Just lounge in the shallow pools, coat yourself in glop, then rinse off in the river, lake, showers, or spring-fed pool.
Had such a brilliant day! The tour guide (Domitri) was so funny and knowledgeable. Saw turtles swimming in the river, the tombs were spectacular. The mud baths and springs were so lovely.
Melissa the tour guide is fantastic. She told us great info about the places we visited.
A very enthusiastic photographer that got some great pics.
Great day.
Lunch venue was questionable, very basic and looked shut down.
Great day out done this trip 5yrs ago still fab.icy was great photographer got the hump a bit when I said I don’t want too look at the photos as I did not want too buy any.very friendly before hand then practically ignoring us after wards.not that I was botherd too be fair but all round a great day out
The tour was amazing. We stopped for breakfast first, (extra charge) went to the mud baths and the kings tombs and turtle beach. There were two tour guides, Esra was lovely, she was friendly, knowledgable and smiley and you can tell she enjoyed her job. The other blonde lady not so much, although she didn’t speak English that doesn’t matter, her mannerisms were rude, she barged passed us pushing me almost knocking my bag off my shoulder whilst I was in the breakfast que, she was just blunt and downright rude the whole day.
That aside, we had a lovely day, the place they took us for lunch was really lovely, it was a buffet lunch and the food was really nice and there was plenty of it.
I tried the blue crab on return and that was also really nice. And I highly recommend buying some fresh pomegranate Joyce on the boat. It was delicious. I had three bottles at only 50TL a bottle.
The tombs were amazing, as a tour it’s nightly recommended, however we travelled from bodrum and I think it I did it again it would only be if I was staying closer like marmaris. As this is an extremely long coach ride. Approx 9 hours of the day was travelling by coach there and back.
The mud baths and hot springs were the best part of the trip by far. Lots of fun and laughter getting messy! The sulphur stinks but you get used to it pretty quick. Lunch was pretty good and exceeded my expectations tbh. Long trip on boat to get to turtle beach. Sand was very hot so make sure you have good beach shoes. Warmest water I’ve even swum in. Don’t expect turtles - they only turn up after dark to lay their eggs.
From pick up to drop off everything was perfect . Great value for money .
The guides catered for all languages and were very informative.
The locations were so picturesque and sailing down the river to the sea was so nice .
Stopped off for lunch at a riverside restaurant which was very nice and tasty .
Would highly recommend this trip if you get the chance .
We did this trip as a couple in 1997 and it hasn’t changed. We came back with our two grown up sons. A wonderful experience and we felt very looked after by our guide Icesi. A great way to spend a full day. Only reason it’s not a 5 star is the main coach had a lot of seats with broken or missing seatbelts
This was the most perfect trip, we couldn't fault anything. The tour guide was a lovely man who made the whole experience more enjoyable.
We couldn't wait to leave amazing feed back, we were only on the trip yesterday and are currently eating breakfast in Bordrum while writing this.
Thank you again for an amazing day.
