When to get there

The South Kennemerland National Park is open year-round and the visitor’s center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am until 5pm. The center is open daily in July and August and on Dutch school holidays. Check the museum events calendar for children’s activities and wildlife talks prior to your visit.

South Kennemerland National Park lies close to the popular seaside resort towns of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal. Zandvoort is a family-friendly beach area offering plenty of water sports opportunities including surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and kitesurfing. Bloemendaal is just north of Zandvoort and has a bit more of a party atmosphere with beach bars, clubs, and a nude sunbathing area.
