The basics

The ideal way to explore Brockton Point—and the Stanley Park area—is on foot or by bike. Most park sightseeing tours make a stop at Brockton Point’s First Nations totem poles. The park is the traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. The lighthouse at Brockton Point is not open to the public, but you can still appreciate the location's pretty panoramas of the Lions Gate Bridge, downtown skyline, and North Shore.

What else to see at Brockton Point

There are several other attractions dotted around the Brockton Point peninsula. Three of them are on its southern shoreline: Hallelujah Point, a grassy viewpoint overlooking downtown Vancouver; a statue of Harry Jerome, a Canadian track and field runner; and the 9 O’Clock Gun, an old naval cannon that fires at 9pm every night. The cannon’s loud boom can be heard far beyond the downtown area.
