The Basics

The best way to enjoy the SLCC is on a guided tour, which is offered hourly. Enjoy a traditional welcome song and a short film before touring the exhibits to see exquisitely crafted masks, instruments, and tools. Learn to make your own indigenous crafts, go on a forest walk, and hear ancient stories, myths, and legends from First Nation ambassadors. At the gift shop you can browse for unique gifts, including original aboriginal artwork. Enjoy traditional and fusion dishes at the Thunderbird Café.

Whistler Village is a popular day trip from Vancouver, and many tours include a stop at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center, along with other sites such as Shannon Falls. Depending on the season, activities such as ziplining, snowmobiling, or ATV riding can also be included.
