How to get there

Just make sure you agree on a rate first. Otherwise you can opt for a tour with included transport so you can drive through Katutura.
When to get there
Shops and businesses are often closed on Sunday, so opt for a morning weekday visit. There isn’t much shade in Katutura, so it’s best to visit before the heat peaks in the afternoon—even in the winter months of June and July, the daytime tends to stay warm and dry.
Artistic endeavors
Katutura Community Arts Centre is located on Bondel Road, near the Independence Arena. Although opening times vary, the Centre hosts workshops and exhibits from local artists, giving visitors the chance to learn about the Namibian art scene. There are also several schools and community initiatives near the Centre, showing off Katutura’s commitment to its people and their futures.
