Refreshing and friendly adventure
Yingna_W, Mar 2024
It's a fruitful adventure. Not many people. Only four of us plus the guide trekking in the silence of great Nature. I enjoyed the total whiteness, the hovering mist between the divine-looking mountains. Bryce is a professional guide. He doesn't talk too much if not needed. He offered us a high-end binoculars to search for a fox (although I didn't see it :). He's patient with my questions and tried to accommodate every member's needs. I felt refreshed, relaxed and energized, only hoping to spend a little longer time with the mountains.

I appreciate your in-depth review of your experience with us :) Thanks for commenting on his expertise! We try to fluctuate between offering narrative when folks prefer us talking and letting folks explore with our oversight. Appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Snowshoeing Adventure
TJ_E, Mar 2023
This is truly a great way to get some entry level experience with snowshoeing. There's beautiful views, fun facts about the local ecosystem and having your mind blown by learning just how much snow pack you're walking on top of that makes the time go by fast. It's great for couples or solo like I did. You get to meet great people and have fun walking around in the snow. It's a must do attraction if you like being out in the snow!
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Thank you for your kind and thorough review! Great to hear how it was perfect entry level experience for you. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Alaska!
Fun, snowy winter trek
DELLA_C, Feb 2023
We had so much fun snowshoeing with Matt. We went about 3 miles total. It was up / down steep terrain, through the trees, and out to some vistas. Definitely a fun time even though the weather wasnt clear. Total winter wonderland covered in powder!

Beginner snowshoe tour!
Kira_Z, Feb 2022
From the moment I was picked up from the Egan center, I was welcomed with warm greetings and a lovely tour guide (Leah). The Chugach park and surrounding areas were not only beautiful, but the snow shoe experience added a cherry to the icing! I was able to take many phenomenal photos and given a nice history lesson. And, I was also able to taste crow berries while experiencing this tour. The air up there and the scenery is unmatched. 🙂
Response from Host, Feb 2022
Thank you, Kira! While our summers get all the glory, our winters are just as beautiful in other ways! Thank you for coming out with us.
Fantastic Morning in the Chugach Mountains
Robert_C, Apr 2021
My daughter and I spent a fantastic morning with Gregg in the Chugach Mountains above Anchorage. It was a crisp, sunny day and the scenery was spectacular. Gregg was an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable guide who was attuned to our interests and ability levels, and we both enjoyed talking with him as we tromped through the snow in this beautiful setting. He had a very relaxed, easygoing style and we both felt comfortable with him almost immediately. It was clear that he loved what he was doing and enjoyed sharing it with others. He made a point of taking pictures of us together, despite the fact that his hands must have been freezing. He also provided a great recommendation for dinner that evening--best meal of the trip. It was a completely satisfying experience and one of the highlights of our late winter visit to Alaska.
Response from Host, Apr 2021
Robert, thank you for the review! I'm so glad you had a great time and I passed on your kind words to Gregg. He had a blast as well. We hope to see you back here!
Highly recommend

Our guides on this tour were very knowledgeable and friendly. They even took the time throughout to adjust the trek based on our comfort level. They made snowshoeing through the mountains a blast. Highly recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2021
Thank you Malcolm! The moose, sun, and friendly conversations shared with you and Lilley were the highlight of my day. It was great meeting you both. Enjoy Alaska, and have a safe trip back to Florida!
⭐ The highlight of our trip to Anchorage! ⭐
EvaMichelle_W, Mar 2021
Do yourself a favor and book this tour! You will not regret it! Matt is an excellent guide---super personable, patient, knowledgeable, and prepared. The snowshoeing experience itself was MAGICAL! The morning sunlight danced across the sparkling white snow as we trekked our way across the beautiful natural landscape. Some of the views were just breathtaking! Our group was mixed in terms of age and skill level (a teenager, a senior citizen, and me - mid-30s). Matt adapted the experience for each of us, so that everyone was able to participate at a level where we felt comfortable. He also took some great pictures for us. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Anchorage! And it can be yours too. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Response from Host, Mar 2021
Thank you so much for your glowing review, Eva! 🙌. I hope you are enjoying all that Alaska has to offer and have a safe trip home. Take Care!

Matt, Was amazing. He was patient and helpful with me. He provided everything you need to explore in snow shoes. Not only was he our guide, but he was a good source of interesting information. He knows everything about Alaska outside. So, Go Hike Alaska!
