*This tour requires moving on your own or with assistance (wheelchair) for 15 - 20 minutes at a time. Though seating at establishments is often available, it is not guaranteed. This tour is not suitable for guests who cannot move or stand on their own or with assistance for a period of 3 - 4 hours. People with hip problems, knee issues or other mobility problems should not take the tour.
Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to those with special dietary restrictions (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.). The locations we visit and food we offer change frequently and sometimes with little notice. This makes it extremely difficult to make sure alternatives are available.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Waste of money

Kept telling us he had never done it before and it showed. It was early season. Guide was nice but the tour was not worth the time.

Loved our Sights and Bites Tour!

Learned a lot of local history while enjoying some delicious food and brews. Every stop was excellent. From the Fireweed Donuts to the Reindeer Sausage to the Alaskan Sampler, we enjoyed every bite. Highly recommended if you have a few free hours while in Anchorage, Alaska.

Great walking tour after Alaskan cruise

Really enjoyed this food walking tour. It was a highlight of our short stay in Anchorage. Would definitely recommend. We got history, food and drinks all in one tour. It was fun after getting off of our cruise ship waiting for our departure flights.

Great Anchorage tour

I had a great tour with Pam! The Kobuk tea is delicious. The Wyland painting is awesome. Food was great! Even a quick Outfitter stop to replace my broken boot!! Cherry Ameretto gelato was yum!

We had a great time on our walking tour of Anchorage. Our guide Pam was amazing. She said she had only been in town 4 months, but she knew her stuff! She told the stories of the town and the places we visited with great detail. I would definately recommend this tour to anyone that comes to town, it was a great way to see some of the local eateries.

Dan was very nice and funny and the food choices were great! However, I feel like I learned more about Dan than Anchorage or Alaskan cuisine. It was also a bit expensive for the value.

I would like to have heard more information on the food and the history was a bit sketchy. The guide wasn’t a very good host - focus was mainly on himself rather than the food and history.

Dan is an engaging guide who obviously loves what he does. His stories keep you listening and provide a different side of Anchorage. The food was more than I expected - with a real variety of things.
