Overview

Though originally Jamaican, jerk seasoning is a staple on most Caribbean islands. Learn about the history and techniques behind jerk meat recipes at Nicole’s Table, a short drive from St. John's. In addition to a cooking lesson, Nicole offers secret tips and recipes for you to try at home. Afterwards, sit down for lunch that consists of cocktails, appetizers, jerk meat, and dessert.

Sample Menu

Starter

Coconut Crisps and/or Green Plantain Chips with Pineapple Salsa

This starter is served in all four classes and is sometimes replaced with Cassava Chips.

Jerk Chicken (or Tofu for vegetarians) with Grilled Pineapple

Dish is also served with Jerk Sweet Plantain Tostones, Red Beans and Rice in Coconut Milk, and a Garden Salad

We are unable to offer transportation to our home, but we do provide customized directions and information for all of our guests. When you arrive at our home, we always meet you and talk with the taxi driver to make sure he or she will pick you up on time when we are finished. We work with cruisers, hotel guests, and BnB guests all the time so we can help you find our way to our home via taxi or a car rental.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Fun, educational, and tasty!

We had such a great time at the cooking classes through Nicole's Table! Unfortunately none of the excursions offered by the cruiseline we were traveling on were too compelling, so we branched out and found Nicole's Table on Viator and are so glad we did. We got to meet people from different ships and tourists traveling independently and worked together to prepare a fantastic meal. The food blew us away and was our favorite meal from the entire trip. Nicole and her family are charming, engaging, and will keep you laughing and smiling the whole time. If you have the opportunity to take this class, we absolutely recommend it!

A down to earth excursion

During holidays, our family typically gathers in the kitchen to catch up. So for our Thanksgiving cruise, it only made sense to find an excursion to learn to cook Caribbean-style. This excursion was one our our favorites because it was so relaxing and "genuine." Rather than partaking of a shore excursion with a large group of people, my family of four got to enjoy a one-on-one experience with Nicole and her family. My children summarized our experience when they said, "It was just like visiting our aunt's house." An experience we won't forget.

What a great experience. Nicole and her family invite you into their beautiful home overlooking the city & ocean. Nicole & Emily taught us hiw to make Jerk Chicken and black beans & rice. We topped off the meal with Coconut Custard Tarts, amazing!! Met some other really nice couples and a great time was had by all!

Best cooking class in Antigua!

Came here during our 2nd day staying in Antigua and I’m so glad we booked this. We scheduled our transportation to Nicole’s Table via our resort. This activity was beyond my expec! From being welcome into Nicole’s beautiful home with breathtaking views, and cooking Jerk Chicken, rice and peas and pastries and more, we got to enjoy all of the food we made which I couldnt believe how greatit came out. Nicole provide great tips and tricks and guidance from beginninign to end. We had so many laughs during our time. If you are considering this activity, boom it NOW! You will leave Nicole’s Table will a happy belly and a recipe book with everything you learned.

Oh my goodness. I absolutely loved doing this cooking class. Nicole and her family were wonderful. They were very welcoming and you could feel the peace through there home. I don't know where to start. The food was amazing. She gives the recipes and explains each thing and how the flavors mesh together. It's very hands on and the rum punch is to die for. This experience was the highlight of my trip.

A fabulous memory of Antigua!

5 friends celebrating a big birthday came to Antigua. Nicole’s Table was brilliant. Nicole was a fab host, relaxed, fun, generous and confident. Everything was so well prepared and coordinated. We cooked a full 3 course lunch, which was delicious. The rum punch and fruit juice flowed freely. Sat and ate in the verandah with lovely views. We met 2 American ladies on this activity which was an added enjoyment. Iyana was sous chef and very lovely. Adam was very pleasant to deal with booking communication. We had a couple of people in our party who don’t really cook, but they got stuck in and really enjoyed the day. All 5 of us agreed it was a great experience. Can’t wait to create this menu for my family! Thanks Nicole.

A jewel in Antigua

This is a truly enjoyable and fun event. We were the first of our group to arrive and had a warm welcome from Nicole. 3 other couples joined us and we got on so well. We all prepared different aspects of the food which was then cooked in the kitchen. That's when the rum punch was served and it has to be the best we've tasted. The food was served outside with spectatcular views out to sea. We had our starters, jerk chicken and coconut tarts and all were superb. Our compliments to the chefs! Adam joined us with some great stories and all in all I can say this is something to be experienced by anyone visitng Antigua

Views, Vibes & Love. All worth it!

So we arrived a little late because of traffic plus we were new to the island. However we were greeted with a smile and cozy welcome by Nicole. We introduced ourselves. Found a safe place for our shades and small bags. Then we washed our hands and began meeting other participants. Everything was well planned out to accommodate the entire group size (10). So no one felt left out. We prepared everything from the salsa and plantain chips. To the marinade used for the main course. The rum punch was already made. But there was also water and passion fruit juice available too. Will totally do that again. Nice place to meet friendly people.

What an amazing experience! The highlight of our Trip!

I booked Nicole's Table as an activity for a group of 10 women celebrating my mom's 60th birthday. I read a lot of reviews but none of them prepared me for how amazing this experience would be. Nicole & Adam's house has breathtaking views . The cooking experience was educational and so much fun. The food...OMG...every single dish we made was delicious. Nicole and her husband Adam were extremely welcoming and such a pleasure to be with that we could have stayed there ALL day. BOOK this ! You will love it! We will definitely be back!
