Overview

Spend a day cruising through the Bay of Islands aboard a deluxe sailboat that sets sail from Russell. Your captain stops at a picturesque island where you have lunch, and time to snorkel, kayak, swim, and walk to a lookout point. Beautiful day on this lovely sailboat. Nat and Dallas made it smooth sailing and enjoyable Got to see the sailing regatta up close and personal, an added bonus. Stop at the beach, hike , kayak and swim, followed by a yummy veggie wrap. beautiful fresh fruit too. Terrific day of sailing! Thank you Nat and Dallas

Weather wasn’t great but...

Weather wasn’t great but the crew made the most of it. We did get wind and were able to enjoy sailing. First mate was great, made an excellent lunch, made sure we were comfortable and worked the sails too. The captain was knowledgeable but not welcoming, which made for a uncomfortable sail. Would recommend this experience but maybe another sailboat.

We greatly enjoyed our sailing trip !! The boat was clean with plenty of seating options and a galley and bathroom below. Lunch was wonderful salad with fresh grown vegetable and tea/water/coffee. We spent a proper amount of time on an island to explore or kayak

Lovely Sailing Day

We enjoyed a lovely day aboard Vigilant. The captain and her first mate were knowledgeable sailors and made the day quite enjoyable. They made us feel welcome and shared their knowledge and history of the area. We spent 1.5 hours on an island that allowed us to hike, swim, and kayak followed by a freshly made lunch and a leisurely sail. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed our time getting to know the captain, first mate and our fellow passengers. We highly recommend this tour.

Unreal day for this boat trip. They held out despite the weather forecast being bad and it ended up being amazing. They served an absolutely lovely lunch and were so friendly and chilled the entire time. Couldn’t recommend enough, the whole group absolutely loved it. Thankyou so much!

Sailing in the Bay of Islands

We had a great day out sailing with Nick in Vigilant. He dropped us ashore at Moturua Island where we followed a trail across the island to another wonderful beach where we swam. On our return, after a brief spell of kayaking Nick took us back to boat where he had prepared a delicious salad lunch. Despite light winds we then sailed across the Bay with the option of taking a turn at the helm. Nick was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife which made our trip both really enjoyable and instructive. We would definitely join him again!
