Overview

When your cruise ship arrives in the Bay of Islands, escape the crowds with a small-group half-day tour to two gorgeous islands. Go snorkeling at pristine island reefs, try stand-up paddle boarding, take a short hike to viewpoints, and look for New Zealand wildlife. You’ll ride on a small motorboat that can access places that large ships cannot go, and hear live commentary from your guide about the region.

The "Hole in the Rock" section of the tour is weather dependent. If conditions are not suitable to travel to The Hole in the Rock, and alternative route within the sheltered inner islands will be used.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Something for everyone

This was a great tour! Despite some choppy seas, our boat driver was very competent and we felt very safe. Got to go to a great lookout and a private beach where we snorkled and got to use our underwater camera! All equipment was provided and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and patient. We even gotto try some sea urchin roe! Highly recommend!

WE were fortunate enough to tender in to the wharf near the Salt Air office so no shuttle bus necessary. Blu and Lynn got our full group of 20 sorted and we loaded out. Interesting information was provided and various pauses along the way. We saw some swimming penguins so that was cool. Nice stop at Roberton island for views and tea with biscuits. Then we stopped at beautiful empty beach for 1.5 hours of swimming or your choice. We enjoyed the views from the shade and swam. Not much to see underwater. Great trip!

We had an amazing time with Lyn and Blu. I would greatly recommend this excursion. It was very beautiful and memorable. Lyn and Blu they were the BEST!!!!
