What To Expect

Meet your guide outside Brussels Central Station and board your comfortable coach. It’s about a 1.5-hour ride to Bruges and there’s time for a bathroom break on arrival before your guided tour begins.

Your sightseeing tour of Bruges’ Old Town includes some of the top photo spots, bridges, churches, squares, and lakes—as well as an artisan chocolate tasting at a certified artisan chocolate shop. Depending on pace, your tour lasts around 1.5 hours, and finishes at Bruges’ Market Square, the city’s main square.

Your guide gives you some tips on where to eat and reminds you of when and where you need to meet the bus, and then you’re free to explore. Depending on traffic and how long you spent on the tour, expect to have around 4 hours for lunch and independent exploration. Finally, it’s back on the bus, which drops you a 5-minute walk from where you began.

Our guide Carmelo was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. We all had lunch with him in Bruges...great fun. Bruge is the most beautiful medieval town he made our trip amazing

Don't waste your money. Get a bus only tour and use a local guide.

The bus trip to and from was great and Bruges is amazing, but the organisation of this trip was a mess and the tour guide was the worst we have experienced (we have done many many organised tours). Our guide (Lucas) was supposedly English speaking but none of us had a clue what he was saying and he spoke in a very boring monotone. He didn't wear a headset so as well as his terrible English, his voice came and went. His manner was that we were just a nuisance that he couldnt wait to get rid of. We paid for an excellent local guide when we got there to learn about the town as we learnt nothing from this tour.

This was a group tour from Brussels to Bruges for the day. We only had 16 people on the tour which was nice because it was a smaller group. We had a 2 hour walking tour and 4 hours of free time. Our guide was Camilo who was absolutely wonderful and did a 3 hour tour as he had so much to share. We had about 3 hours free time and spent a lot of that having lunch. This was a well worth it tour/trip. Bruges is such a beautiful mid evil city. A must do

Very poor exoerience

We felt like we were on a Spanish trip with a little English when it was supposed to be an English trip. Our guide did not speak English very well and was not very informative. We have taken a number of Viator trips and this was by far the worst. Not a very enjoyable tour. Our guide did not seem too well informed.

This was an amazing tour because of Juliana. Juliana took care of the English speaking tour and kept us moving at a great pace! She was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for our free time in the area as well! Would definitely do another tour like this and Bruge is just magical.
Poor arrangement on the bus company going and coming back

I took a day trip to Bruges from Brussels. It was a 9 hour trip with 4 hour free time in Bruges. The trip took place on April 18, 2024. The trip was run with the local company name Buendia. The trip started 30 minutes late because one of the bus decided not to show up, so the tour company had to scramble and combine the English and Spanish tour into a big coach. I was not happy about it , but I understand things happen and ok, I rolled with it. But then on the return trip, another bus is suppose to pick us up. But the bus was not there and made almost 50 people waited another 20 minutes for it. So we got back to Brussels 1 hour late from the original stated time. This is not professional at all and it's not acceptable. However, our English guide David was very good. He did the best under the circumstances and he patiently explain to everyone where the meeting point was (was kind of far) He also did a good job with the walking tour

It was our second time to Bruges but had so much more fun this time around. Eros made the tour so much fun for everybody. Learned knew things and saw different places! It is one of our favorites places to visit.
Nice destination but not impressed with guide

The destination is beautiful and very interesting. The tour is well organized, punctual and follows a good schedule with lots of free time to explore, shop or take a boat tour. Where we were disappointed and rate it a 3 star is due to the guide and the equipment given to us. We felt the guide gave us bare minimum information, wasn't very engaged and didn't make it interesting... minimum effort. Besides,, we were given a little radio so the guide doesn't have to raise his voice, but it never really worked well. Lots of static, picking up the frequency of nearby tours in a different language. The following day we had a different tour with the sane company but a different guide, and we were extremely pleased. Having a good guide makes all the difference in the experience.
Beautiful Bruge

Our guide Alvaro was very knowledgeable and full of humour. We were amazed at the extent of his understanding of human history and the evolution of European society as we know it today. Bruge is utterly beautiful! The day was quite leisurely and we had enough free time to explore further and enjoy Bruge on our own. The coach we traveled in was super clean and comfortable. It was a great day out and I appreciated the combination of guided and self-guided time. The guide Carmelo was lovely and knowledgeable, very patient with all of us. His recommendations were really helpful. The city itself was gorgeous with so much to see and do!
Good intention poor execution

Unfortunately I felt it was a poorly planned trip. When we arrived in Bruges waited 45 minutes for a toilet break before starting the walking tour. We actually left the guide part way through so that we could enjoy our day. We were always waiting for people to catch up. Too much to see for that in my opinion.
Relaxing and memorable trip

Effective transportation to Bruges from Brussel. Mark is a very knowledgable guide with a good sense of humour. Everyone enjoyed during the guided tour. We also have plenty of time to walk around this beautiful town afterwards. It was also very nice to have the sun shining in the afternoon and we took many beautiful pictures. It was very memorable as it was our wedding anniversary!
