“Interesting small group tour. Takes you away from typical (and crowded) tourist sites to explore areas you might not typically see. Pretty parks, bike trails and a host of historic spots with great stories are contrasted with plainer, poor neighborhoods to provide visitors with a more “organic” view of the city and its demographics. You should be proficient in riding a bike in busy, city traffic for approximately 3.5 hours in order to calmly maneuver around cars, fellow cyclists and pedestrians. The tour Guides are attentive and helpful but expect visitors to keep up, including navigating hills. I’m very glad we went but be aware this is hardly intended for novice or nervous riders. (No ebikes. )”

It's true that you need at least a minimum of bike skills to join the tour but you don't have to be an experienced sportive cyclist. our guides wait when needed. Avid Bikers ok, otherwise I would not recommend

This was a great tour, except that our guide kept going and did not even check on us during the ride. I think on a ride like this, they should provide water holders on the bike, I had to keep my water bottle with the guide and therefore could not take a drink anytime I wanted. Also, When I could not keep up, it was the other guests who helped me out and I eneded up crashing into a barrier and injuring my finger that is still healing after 4 months. If you don't regularly ride bikes, I would not recommend this. it is a 10 mile tour up and downhill, in and out of traffice.

Our guide (English) tour was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure he made our trip memorable. As mentioned in many of the other reviews, this is a tour that takes you to places you wouldn’t typically go to but are still very interesting. They do cover some of the key highlights during the tour. All the major highlights are within a 10 min walking radius from the city center so you can do that yourself easily, and they’re usually extremely crowded so it’s hard navigating on your bike so walking might be a better option. The only thing I found odd was that the guides are actually volunteers, I wish I knew that before so I could carry cash.

The tour was focused on the socialist point of view of the guide visiting neighborhoods of immigration etc. It was obvious the guide has an issue with mid/upper class citizens. NO major sites were visited. It was basically a bike experience not a Brussel tour. It’s unfortunate!!

Hi Serge, Sorry to hear you didn't appreciate our tour (and our guide Mauro). The guide told me that you cycled and stopped at highlights such as the Marolles and the Palace of Justice, Tour&Taxis, the European quarter,... . Manneke Pis or Grand Place are not part of the tour. Those are places you can easily visit by yourself. We also try to let people discover less known places and neighbourhoods and the bicycle allows us to go off the beaten tracks. Our tours are (as announced) a mix of highlights and the less beaten tracks. We want to give people a diverse picture of the city and its various neighbourhoods. That is also the charm of Brussels, its diversity and contrasts. Our guide will certainly have tried to give an idea of the social and economic contrasts and structure of the city. It is true that Mauro is a socially committed guide and therefore pays attention to this fact. It seems to me to be an exaggeration to reduce him to a guide with a 'socialist point of view' who has problems with the upper and middle classes. He himself is part of the middle class.
