Oana_S, Apr 2024
Alex was knowledgeable and gave us a very interesting tour. He pointed out a lot of interesting things about the city and the architecture as we walked along. We were stuffed by the end of the tour with a lot of delicious food and had a lot of fun.
Excellent walking tour of Bucharest.
Kevin_M, Apr 2024
Our tour guide, Andra, was exceptional. We learned so much history about Bucharest, its architecture, and the people that have shaped the city over time. The food and beverages were a treat because we learned about Romanian culture through food and drink. The visit to market was a highlight of the tour. Highly recommend this tour.
Early Bucharest

Very informative tour and Andra was excellent guide giving many insightful information. Her information on early Bucharest to today I found very interesting. From architecture, religion and political turning points.
A Local Romanian Experience
Isabel_S, Apr 2024
Bogdan was an incredible tour guide. He was so passionate about Romania and its culture. If you want the “true” taste of Bucharest, I highly recommend this tour. He really gave us the local experience, one I will never forget!
Delicious off the beaten path tour of Bucharest
Dina_H, Apr 2024
Great walking tour of Bucharest. Andrea was able to show us areas of the city we would have never experienced on our own. The market was fabulous, riding the bus/tram and all of the different food/drink stops made us feel like locals. I would definitely recommend!

Had an amazing day with Elana, saw parts of bucharest we wouldn’t have gone to. Food was great, Elana was a fantastic tour guide very knowledgable.
Good intro to Bucharest foods
Karen_T, Apr 2024
Definitely finished the tour feeling well fed so don't have a big meal beforehand. Variety of sites visited on the tour and various modes of transport used. The tour guide was happy to engage with the group which is important on this kind of tour as you are together a while and have a couple of opportunities for sit down tastings. The mici at the market were definitely better than the ones I tried later at a restaurant.
Great day!!

We were very lucky to just be the two of us on this tour, we had a lovely day , Bogdan (hopefully spelt correct) was a really good tour guide, very friendly and easy to communicate with, had a good knowledge of the area , and took us to where the locals would shop and eat , a great day, id def recommends this tour 😊
A fabulous insight into history, culture and the less touristy areas of the city
Gill_M, Feb 2024
We had a wonderful tour with Andra - walking around parts of Bucharest we wouldn't have ventured into by ourselves. She gave us insight into history, culture and her own experiences which brought the city to life, and provided insight we wouldn't have got from a guidebook . As it was (unusually) just two of us on the tour, and it felt like Andra tailored the information and stories to our interests, after getting to know us over a delicious lunch. It felt like a wonderful cultural exchange, as well as receiving some fascinating insights into the country, city and her world. I would hugely recommend this tour.
Authentic, informative and a delight
Emil_M, Feb 2024
Our guides Alex and Bogdan were very friendly, informative and well spoken, Bogdan is knowledgeable about the history of Romania and history in general while Alex knows a whole lot about Bucharest street art and graffiti, the food is great and the places we went to were very interesting and authentic. There was a shoe on da statue
Book and Eat

Worth every penny! Had an amazing time with Boggy ( not sure if I spelt his nickname correct). Very knowledgeable tour guide. There is a lot of walking which helped walk off tons of food we consumed. He gave us great advice on places to eat for dinner and was willing to help us find extra things to do in the city.
Real Bucharest
Lucy_O, Feb 2024
Enjoyed seeing the real Bucharest. Met some lovely people. Our guides were very knowledgeable and great company. Had a few beers and local drinks and food along the way. We were offered a baked Pretzel on arrival, lunch which consisted of cheese, bread, salami and some dips, followed by a stop at the market where we tasted the local sausage and donuts. During lunch and when we stopped for the sausage, we were offered beer and local cherry liquor and a local shot, both very good! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because I thought it might have been nice to have 30 minutes or so to wander around the market stop without our guide. But other than that it was a really great day!
Romanian food tour.

Enjoyed the food, narrative and the guide’s personality. We walked a lot, which was good, and also took local transportation.
This fantastic tour pairs yummy food with history
Scott_G, Dec 2023
Yes, we had delicious food on this tour (loved the sausages and cheese!) but there was more. As we walked from stop to stop our knowledgeable guide Elena used the architecture to tell us about Romania’s and Bucharest's history. If you want to explore Romanian cuisine while learning about the city and the country, take Elena's food tour. I highly recommend it.
Great walk thru Bucharest
JEFFREY_J, Nov 2023
Great casual walk. Elena was super chatting and taking me thru the walk and the stops for food and drink were good. Bucharest is a nice city with lots of trees and parks.
Highly Recommend!
Liz_B, Oct 2023
We had a great day with Bogdan learning about Bucharest’s history, walking through neighborhoods and the markets and sampling delicious food! It was a wonderful experience and introduction to the city. We had a fun group and spent the rest of the day together.
No Time to Enjoy the Market
ScottD_L, Oct 2023
The point of choosing to accompany a guide through the farmer's market was to be guided through the market. Instead, we were rushed through the market, given no time to speak with vendors and saw very little. Instead we were quickly escorted to a table where cheese, tomatoes, and pears were man-handled then butchered and served. The raspberries were full of bugs, but the bugs seemed delicious. I really appreciated the horrible home made liquor provided before our next glum stop, the old town restaurant where the proprietor seemed very shy, refusing to turn on music because "the sound system was broken?" Really? Then why don't we visit one of the other million restaurants in Bucharest serving basic dishes? The guide gave little description or background information regarding the three small dishes of dip the establishment offered. My advice would be to find FRIENDLY restaurant owners who will help guests get seated, provide a nice atmosphere, explain what dishes will be served and how they are prepared, then ask for any questions regarding the restaurant and food, perhaps joining the group for a moment? Is this complicated?
Excellent tour
Emma_B, Oct 2023
The walking tour was great, both as a way to see the city, and to sample a lot of delicious food! It was all very well organised and our guide, Andrea, was excellent.
