Best Day in Bucharest
Richard_H, Apr 2024
Our food tour in Bucharest was our favorite part of our visit to Romania. Laura was a great guide who showed us interesting parts of the city, taught us fascinating things about Romania's history, and, most important, fed us all sorts of great food! We had a wonderful time with Laura and recommend this tour for anyone who is hungry and curious.
Great experience!

Laura our guide was excellent! Very knowledgeable, eager to share her expertise and engaging. One of the best guides we have ever had! Would recommend this tour to everyone! Thank you Laura!!
Tons of delicious food topped with information about Romania.

Emma was so incredibly informative. She explained all of the different governments that have occurred in Romania over the past 80 years. As we moved from food destination to destination she gave us examples of what the area looked like during the era of the royalty, the communists and then now. She had pictures to show the destruction, the importance of different dates and the people’s lives. On to the food… very traditional, interesting and plenty of it. We started with Balmos,, White bean Hummus, vegetables and then moved on to Sarmale, Mici. For desert we started with Placenta cu Branza (cheese pastry) and then moved on to Eclarts. Eclarts are a Romanian evention combining a tart with an eclair. We definitely over fed and enlightened regarding Romanian history when we finished. Thank you Emma.
Bucharest Delicious Food

A very informative and delicious food tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. We sample many authentic dishes and pastries. Also, we had a chance to enjoy some local wines and brandy. We recommend this food tour very highly.
Great Walking Food Tour with Lot's of History on the Side!

Christian was our tour guide and was really great. He walked us through various neighborhoods in Bucharest to try the everyday foods people eat, for example fried cheese pastries, communist era comfort cookies and snacks and the traditionally made sausage! He also gave us the recent history of the city and country especially the 1989 Revolution. Christian is very knowledgeable and we highly recommend him.
Delicious and fun!

Emma was such a great hostess with lots of interesting conversation along the way. If you’re wondering I would say skip lunch or breakfast before the tour, you’ll have plenty to eat. Vegetarian accommodations were easily made.
Amazing food tour - make sure you come hungry
Charlie_K, Jun 2022
This was the first food tour I have ever done and it was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. We visited four different places and tried an enormous quantity of different food and drink. The guide Emma was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and so friendly and easy to talk to. We ate so much amazing food we were stuffed by the end of it, and even though we couldn't eat it all, nothing got wasted as we had the opportunity to take leftovers home with us. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, but make sure you come hungry!
This is the tour you should book now before it sells out.
Kelly_E, Apr 2022
We were the only two on the tour and Emma our guide was amazing. We spent 4 hours eating our way through beautiful Bucharest. Come hungry because you eat and drink a lot. All while learning about Romania's history and culture. And more interesting to us was our ability to ask our guide all kinds of questions that really personalized the experience. We felt like family by the end of the day. This tour is worth every penny and even tho you may find something cheaper, this is the one you want to do. Do not hesitate to book this now or it may likely be sold out when you finally realize this is the one.
Wonderful afternoon food tour in Bucharest!

7 friends enjoyed this tour with Laura. She was generous with her time and food tastes. Also flexible with choices of what we wanted to try. We had one stop at a tremendous store of books, souvenirs and other assorted fun things. I recommend this tour.
A Must Do Tour!
Sarah_D, Nov 2019
This was our first tour since arriving in Bucharest. This tour is an excellent way to experience the city and eat great food! Our tour guide Emma was absolutely amazing, she is warm-hearted, very informative and knowlegable. With Emma it was like having a longtime friend showing you the city. The food portions are large with a wide variety of dishes. The pace of the tour was leisurely and flexible which was great. We got to see parts of the city that are off the beaten path which made for a unique experience. We learned a lot of fun facts about Romania/Bucharest from Emma. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting/living in the city! Thanks to Emma for making this a memorable and great experience for me and my mom :)
