So many things wrong with this tour.
1. I purchased on Viator for $89. Others on the same decrepit boat paid $30-$40 to vendors on the dock
2. “Captain” was sweet enough with good intentions, however didn’t speak Wnglish. Fortunately a person on board spoke Spanish. No explanation on whales and their behavior - or even tour’s intention- as other friends received on their boat tours
3. Walked way over to other side of the harbor to meet “director” who then walked me back to a “consolidator”. Then waited and waited.
4. Left late (waiting for more fares, apparently) and were almost out of the harbor when captain turned around, heading back to wharf. The woman who spoke Spanish asked him why. Turns out they found 2 more paying passengers to sign up, so called him back. After all boarded, we left 30 minutes late. No apologies or explanations
5. Barely saw a whale - not the fault of anyone, I understand, but what a waste of time and money when I could have either paid at the harbor or been on another more professional tour - where I at least learned something about whales and the area.
