Overview

Explore Europe's highest active volcano with this Jeep tour on Mount Etna. Join a nature guide and head up to about 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) to discover lava flows and extinct craters, plus take in the views over the Caldera del Valle del Bove. Then don a helmet and headlamp and venture into a lava tube to better to learn how lava flows are formed and cool.

Our guide Orazio was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting information about the history of Etna. His french was excellent! The tour was fun, the visit of the grotto was really cool and the food tasting at the end was great. If you are looking for an easy tour, I recommend 100%

Great tour! The operators and guides are super knowledgeable, friendly, and the smaller group size makes it easier to ask questions. The tour is well organized and the lunch after was delicious. I highly recommend this 4x4 tour. It's well worth the money.

Great trip only marred by lack of space in vehicle for 6 adults

Luca our guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience really entertaining and enjoyable. The only downside of the trip was the number of people in the vehicle. (a Nissan Pathfinder). We booked as a group of four but on arrival found another couple were being paired up with us. The third row of seats was very limited in space and probably designed for kids not adults which made travelling in the vehicle very uncomfortable for two of the passengers We had lunch at the farmhouse after our trip which was delicious and good value for money

The 4x4 Tour was something that our whole family really enjoyed (our kids are 7 and 10)! Lucca was our tour guide and took us to several different parts of Mt. Etna. We loved having a personal guide who shared about his personal connection to Mt. Etna and the history/connection the mountain has to Sicilians. Lucca was engaging and shared so many interesting things about Mt. Etna. Going off-road was a lot of fun too. Our kids especially loved touring the lava tube. That was pretty amazing! Afterward, we went back to our meeting point and ate a delicious traditional Sicilian lunch and did a tasting of some regional products. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Sebastian picked us up for our tour and from the beginning was very friendly and knowledgeable. We made four stops and learned an incredible amount and saw how passionate Sebastian was about Etna and cleaning up after ourselves as humans. We had a farm to table experience as well and it was worth every dollar. The owners of the farm are amazingly warm people and the food we were served was very fresh.

AWESOME trip! Our tour guide (Karmello) was absolutely amazing and was so knowledgeable. He spent the time to explain everything to us and he’s a fantastic driver. The farm is also breathtaking as well as the food. Highly highly highly recommend this experience!!

We had no idea how much we would learn on this tour. We hiked up to a ridge with incredible views. We went into a cave-like lava flow. We overlooked one of the largest lava flows. Our guide was knowledgeable and inspiring.

We had an amazing day. Our guide Saro was fantastic. He gave us a crash clurse in Mt Etna's volcano system, sicilian history, food culture and Sicilians in general. Up on the slopes all the guides were great at keeping track of us all and showing us so many interesting things. Peter did a great description of the original formation of etna when we were at the lava "glaciar". We will definitely recommend this to everyone we know!

Amazing and super informative Etna tour! Did this tour with my boyfriend and in-laws, who are in their 60s. Carmelo went out of his way to help one of our group members, without asking. Gianpaolo was our assigned guide and jeep driver and explained us everything we needed to know about Etna. This tour is truly for anyone, but there is a 10 minutes jeep ride that is extremely bumpy, fyi for people with back or neck problem, but Gianpaolo drove very safely and we trusted him completely.

Great guides explained Mt Etna in a very detailed and understandable way. Loved the drive up in the backwoods of the mountain! The tasting party at the end was wonderful. We would have stayed for lunch but had to move on but bought some wonderful items to taste and remind us of this wonderful day when we get home.
