We were collected by our driver Abam at the exact time requested. Adam was a little shy at first communicating in English but when he felt at ease he was an absolutely excellent driver and guide. He had really excellent knowledge on the city and couldn't do enough for us. Highlights of the tour were the old ancestral house and Tops had amazing views. Downside was the Basilica and their ridiculous rule not allowing my wife inside because she was wearing shorts. Please show me where in the religious teachings that this is mentioned!!! All in all an excellent day but please take the religious nonsense out of an otherwise excellent day. This is actually a review from a practicing Catholic!!

I'm glad our driver was Rodolfo, though he was a tad quiet. But he was patient, and was able to provide information when he could. The tour was also I think a little pricey.

I booked a private tour. Joseph my driver was on time picking me up at my hotel. We had 9 stops for the whole tour. Since I was touring by myself Joseph made sure I was safe everywhere I went and accompanied me to most of the sites and took pictures for me. His driving was good. He made sure that I knew where he was at all times. I give him 5 stars!!

The drive to the garden...

The drive to the garden takes you north of the city and the views of the mountains and valleys on the other side are beautiful. The Taoist temple as well as the colonial vestiges were interesting, especially Mactan shrine, Magellan cross and the heritage monument. And it's an easy way to get to the house of lechon where it is very difficult to park and get.

We were suppose to have an experienced knowledgeable guide. We basically got a driver who didn’t talk much. We felt ripped off since we were suppose to learn about Cebu history and culture. Would have been a lot cheaper to get a taxi

Hi Tom, we are sorry about your experience but I can see here that you did not get an accredited tour guide which is not included in the package. When you go to the package details, under What's Included.. there is an exclusion of Department of Tourism Accredited Tour Guide - P2500 for whole day (available upon request). We did not see a note on your booking that you are requesting a tour guide. I am not sure if it will cost you less when you get a taxi cuz the destinations are far from each other and taxi are using meter.

Vehicle arrived on time and driver was polite and professional. Unfortunately he was surprised that there were two of us. We booked the tour for 2 persons and paid for 2 persons but according to the driver this tour is only for one person. He was on the phone to clear it up with his boss and the tour continued although with a tense atmosphere in the car. The driver spent some time on the phone while driving trying to get some money for two persons ( he has to pay for entrance fees and lunch). We told him were very hungry but our lunch was delayed until after 2 pm because he did not have the money for our lunch. His boss even told the driver to ask us if we can pay for it and then he will reimburse us. The tour ended with us back in the hotel safe. We missed one site because it was late. The tense atmosphere was very uncomfortable. The late lunch contributed to the unease and hopefully this is not the norm. We paid $150 for a tour that ended up not worth it.

We are very sorry, it was an honest mistake from our dispatcher that he type 1pax instead of 2pax. The budget for the entrance and meals that was given to the driver was 1pax only, but we are able to solve it and gave the driver the money for the tour to continue. Again we are really sorry and we will make sure that this wont happen again. Thank you and have a great day!
Great experience of Cebu

The trip to LapuLapu monument at Mactan is a very valuable historical information. As well as the different sites and tours of the Cebu City itself. The afternoon tours of Sirgao Garden, Temple of Leah and the Taoist Temple gave a different aspect of Cebu itself. Most memorable is the trip to Alegre Guitar Factory.

All the places, especially sirao garden.l, Leah Temple , taoist Temple. But why there was no lapu lapu memorial cross.

Hi we are very sorry about that but Lapu-Lapu does not have memorial cross, Lapu-Lapu does have a statue located in Mactan shrine which is included in the package. Magellan has a cross which is just beside Sto Nino and both are included in the package. Thank you.

It was a private tour, the driver picked us up at the agreed place and time. We travelled all day in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. Our driver was very nice, pointed out the important things, was happy to take pictures of us. The trip took us to many places in Cebu.

Great family drive around Cebu!

Cesar was a great, accommodating tour guide who adjusted our itinerary based on where our hotel was located in Cebu City. He was a great driver and took many group photos for us. He was very flexible with the schedule and completely understanding when our group of twelve tourists decided to extend the time for certain places, such as with buying smoothies along the way. What could have been better was prior communciation regarding the requirement of masks inside the Taoist Temple because none of us brought masks, and we had to make a stop to buy them. As other reviews have stated, the assumption based on the Viator tour title was a default inclusion of a tour guide with our reservation, as it is not made that clear that we must make a specific request for a Department of Tourism accredited tour guide. Yes, our driver was just a driver and did not conversate much, but we did get to our places on time, had much flexibility to our itinerary, and enjoyed our tour.

A driver not a guide..

This was more of a private driver and not an actual tour. The driver was nice enough to take pictures but he didn't actually play the tour guide role. If you are looking for a private driver to see some sights this is fine but if you are looking more someone to guide you through the history of the island not so much. I was able to read about the history at some of the sights and also looked up the history.

All the places that we went to were worth the visit. We also started early at 8am, but going back to the hotel was bad since we got stuck in the city traffic for over an hour, this was the most tiring part. But overall the experience was great.

The tour was very interesting. We enjoyed learning about the history of Cebu and visiting some really important sites. Our driver taught us some interesting facts. He spoke English but it wasn’t super clear. It was ok. He was really nice and took lots of photos for us. He even opened our door for us every time we stopped. The restaurant we ate at was really good and it was a nice experience.
