From the moment Danny Jordan welcomed me on board the shuttle, I knew I was in for an extraordinary tour! As luck would have it, it was raining heavily that January morning - and I was the sole person who booked the tour. For the next 90 minutes, I enjoyed an almost magical one-on-one tour with the delightful Danny, as we took a deep dive into Charlotte's fascinating past. As a historian planning to move to the city, my curiosity about Charlotte's growth and development was piqued and I peppered Danny with a barrage of questions about the city's social and political past. A thorough professional steeped in the history of Charlotte, Danny provided full and fascinating answers to each and every one of my queries. I was absolutely reveling in our conversation! Thanks to Danny's skill as a guide, the tour not only brought history to life, it also was an unparalleled opportunity to explore the city's architecture, its artistic and cultural hot spots, as well as its markets, shops, and restaurants. By the time Danny and I said our farewells, I was over the moon, so grateful for all the entertainment and education - and especially for the enthusiasm of the delightful and dynamic Danny Jordan!
