What To Expect

Outside of the The Congress Plaza Hotel & Convention Center, greet your guide and board a bus destined for Chicago’s spookiest sites. A historian guide provides commentary throughout your spine-chilling tour.

Head first to Chicago City Cemetery, an abandoned graveyard that is home to 13,000 unmarked graves, and disembark for a stroll. At Lincoln Park, step foot on the site of the St. Valentine’s Day massacre, linked to the notorious gangster Al Capone.

See, too, the mansion of Prairie Avenue, the site on which a wealthy socialite was brutally murdered, and Death Alley, where many people were killed by fire. Over the course of the tour, a restroom and refreshment stop occur.

Your tour concludes back at your original departure point outside of the Chicago History Museum.

Experience went smoothly. Met in the lounge/lobby of Congress hotel, bus was comfortable, and made 5 stops. Tony was a great guide and storyteller. He was full of knowledge and easy to understand. Definitely a must!

Tony and Jen know their stuff and explained everything well. I appreciated their knowledge base without the exaggerated theatrics that I’ve seen other tour guides do. Comfortable coach bus too. If I could tweak one thing, it would be less gangster stops. I know they were trying to cater to everyone and I respect that aspect. My family would rather have gone to Archer Avenue, Resurrection Cemetery and St James Sag Church area. The traffic Halloween weekend was brutal and they had no control over traffic. Just would rather have spent less time in Lincoln Park and maybe traveled south. Either way, Tony and Jen were great and I would do another tour of a different location with them.

The tour was fine 4 stars but I would never book anything through Vivator again 0 stars ..never received any confirmation until a few hours before the tour and never received responses to emails...had to call the tour operator directly...they advised this was common problem for Vivator plus I ended up paying 21 more for Viator's service vs booking direct!
