What To Expect

Delivering a taste of Chicago’s renowned pizza legacy, you can expect to meet your local tour guide at a significant pizzeria in the downtown area.  Start by hearing the history of Chicago deep dish while sampling a slice from one of the best purveyors of the style.  Next, our bus will pick up the group and drive you through various neighborhoods to explore the local pizza scene.  Your guide will share local insights into Chicago’s unique pizza-making culture and history.  After visiting four pizzerias, you’ll head back to your original departure point in downtown Chicago stuffed full of pizza and stories.  Just about everyone loves pizza, so you can always expect a diverse group of travelers and locals to share your pizza experience with.

My family and I are locals and had an amazing time! We felt taken care of from the get go. The pizza stops were all unique and different, and the history/facts added so much life to the tour. Highly recommend!!

It was ok. Didn’t go to the pizza shops it said it would (no pequids?) A little dissapointing. James was a good tour guide.

A must do! Very entertaining tour guide and yummy eats! My teenage boy ate too his hearts content. His favorite being the smore pizza, of course. I especially enjoyed the first and last stop. My tween daughter enjoyed the Mexican soda. There was something for everybody!

James (Luigi) was a fantastic guide, and very knowledgeable. He kept the information funny and had great energy. The pacing of the tour was perfect and the pizza was a good mix of flavors and styles.

The tour guide was excellent. Lots of very interesting information. I also like the pizza choices. I had been on this tour once before and only two of the sites (out of four) sere on the previous tour.

We went to 4 different pizza places. Each one was a little different and had a great back story. The tour guide Josh was awesome. Definitely recommend this tour. You will not go away hungry!

My friend has been to Chicago multiple times, but had never done this tour. I booked it, having done it many years ago and enjoy ed it just as much this past weekend as I did 5 years prior. Very good selection of pizza and you can get drinks along the way, which is a nice bonus, since you're not driving.

Awesome tour with A LOT of food. We stopped at 4 spots and tried different styles and types of pizza at each place. There was always pizza left over for seconds or thirds if you were still hungry. The best part is that the tour was given by someone who is truly a pizza afficianado. He knows the history, the styles, the shops and not just in Chicago but for other regional pizza styles as well. If you love pizza, this is a must do.

Such a great tour. Loved being able to try so many different kinds of pizzas that we normally wouldn't try on our own but from this tour tried and would go back and get any of those pizzas again 😍😍

The entire tour was amazing. Four of us were visiting from Nashville and Jamie, our tour guide and owner, was fantastic. He took great care of us from beginning to end. He was hysterical, had deep knowledge of pizza styles and the family restaurants we visited, and was just an overall good human. We will definitely encourage future visiting friends and family to also take the tour. We have always had a favorite pizza spot that we go to every time we are in town but now we have multiple choices!

We were so fortunate to have James as our guide. Read funny and knowledgeable guy. All the pizzas were so good. Crazy variety of styles and ingredients. And, by the end, I was beyond stuffed. I highly recommend. Great time!

S'more pizza pretty unique. The right tour guide MAKES the tour. We had James, he was hilarious. The tastings really opened up our eyes to different toppings on pizza.

This was a fun tour! We went to four pizza places. Two had deep dish and two focused on thin. Around 24 people total, more than enough to eat. School bus to transit among, starting at Pizano near Millennium Park and ending up there. James was a funny and knowledgeable host.
