Our guide Capaccino was amazing, very helpful, attentive and always smiling. We started at the prison island, we took the full tour, then went to see the tortoises, then off to Nakupenda Island also known as the vanishing island. This is a MUST SEE if you are ever in Zanzibar. We had a great lunch and fruits. Then head back ro stone town for the tour. Excellent day with very good guides and we were lucky with the rest of the group, very nice people too.

A great way to spend the day

This was a great way to combine visits to Prison Island and the vanishing island. The meal of fruit and grilled seafood was delicious. Our guide and the boat crew were friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommended.

Worth the Experience

I enjoyed this experience. I rated it 4 stars due to the Stonetown tour being rushed and limited info being shared compared to when I first did a similar tour last year. I feel that the vanishing island/sandbank stop took up too much time and exposed the tourists to too many vendors and there was no where to go on the sandbank to get away from them. Aside from spending too much time at the vanishing island sandbank, the food was grilled to perfection and made up for it.

Our guide Capaccino was amazing, very helpful, attentive and always smiling. We started at the prison island, we took the full tour, then went to see the tortoises, then off to Nakupenda Island also known as the vanishing island. This is a MUST SEE if you are ever in Zanzibar. We had a great lunch and fruits. Then head back ro stone town for the tour. Excellent day with very good guides and we were lucky with the rest of the group, very nice people too.

Unforgettable Experience

This tour was unforgettable in every way. The history of each place we visited was so touching and powerful that my mother and I were impacted deeply. Our guide Ibrahim (Ibracadaba) made sure that we felt welcome and that we had everything we needed, even allowing us to spend more time at places. Our seafood lunch on the beach was delicious too. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip!

The original guide David had to skip the trip after short time, by a time we already enjoyed his knowledge and conversation. The stand-in we are unsure is a guide usually, so the information from that point on was not that good.

This was a great experience. Feeding the turtles was really fun. Lunch on the sandbox was delicious with a variety of seafood options. It’s cool that they cook it right there on the beach so you get to smell it while it’s being prepared. Our guide was the best. He carried out bags the entire time even when we walked through Stone Town. It was well worth the money spent. You will have a nice time.

Prison not really a prison but interesting Island was a rush told to relax but after food only had 15 minutes to look around/photos etc Stone town most things shut at time we went Guide was rude and didn’t explain anything in the town should have more knowledge about the buildings

Wir haben die Tour nach Prison Island und Stonetown absolut genossen. Unser sehr sympatischer Guide "Capucchino" hat uns einen unvergesslichen Tag beschert. Die Überfahrt zur Insel war spannend : in einer "Nussschale" durch das grüne Wasser in Richtung Insel. Wir bekamen auf dieser Fahrt interessante Infos zur Inselgeschichte. Auch auf der Insel hatte unser Guide eine Menge zu erzählen - es war kurzweilig. Anschließend ging es auf eine Sandbank, Capucchino und der Kapitän unserer Nussschale haben uns einen Sonnenschutz aufgestellt, eine Decke darunter plaziert und uns mit gekühlten Getränken versorgt. Während wir die Sandbank eroberten und baden konnten, wurde für unsere Verpflegung gesorgt : Es wurden Meeresfrüchte gegrillt, Pommes fritiert und Früchte zubereitet. Unsere kleine Gruppe - wir waren nur 7 Personen, was sehr angenehm war - wurde dann beköstigt. Wir ließen uns gerne verwöhnen. Der anschließende Stadtbummel durch Stonetown war aufregend und informativ. Wir schlängelten durch kleine Gassen, an vielen kleinen Shops vorbei und wurden auch wieder mit interessanten Infos versorgt. Beim Freddie-Mercury-Haus kamen wir auch vorbei. Leider wurde kein Besuch des Museums angeboten - schade. Dafür konnten wir in einem großen Shop gegenüber stöbern. Unser Capucchino hat uns einen ganz tollen Tag bescherrt mit vielen unvergesslichen Erlebnissen und Eindrücken - wir werden diese Tour definitiv weiterempfehlen. Das Abholen und wieder Zurückbringen zum Hotel hat reibungslos geklappt - Viator war der einzige Anbieter, der diesen Transfer im Angebot hatte. Was schade war, wir hatten eine deutsche Tour gebucht, bekamen aber eine englische Tour. Wir haben trotzdem viele Infos mitgenommen, wären aber gerne im Vorfeld darüber informiert worden, dass die Tour nicht in deutsch ist. Nichtdestotrotz hat diese Tour 5 Sterne verdient.
