Cape Adieu departs from the far end of Stokes Hill Wharf at Dock 3 (behind Crustaceans restaurant). Please ensure you are ready at the departure gate at this time. Boarding will commence from 5:00pm. We are unable to guarantee seating requests and waits for latecomers.

What To Expect

Board a traditional fishing ketch at Stokes Hill Wharf and set out on your Darwin sunset dinner cruise. Enjoy a 4-course dinner, served at a shaded outdoor table in the intimate setting of this smaller sailing vessel.

Cast your gaze over the coastline while your expert crew shares informative commentary as you sail along Darwin's coast. Be sure to keep your camera on hand to capture the tropical colors of a classic Top End sunset.

To start dinner you are served a selection of tasty homemade dips and delectable seafood appetizers. Choose from banana prawns, Coffin Bay oysters, or hot-smoked Spanish mackerel—the boat’s signature dish. Select the fresh catch of the day or rib-eye beef steak (Scotch fillet) for your main course, accompanied by a selection of fresh salad and bread. Espresso or tea accompany a fresh fruit platter for dessert.

Enjoy beverages purchased from the bar on board, or feel free to bring your own; the crew will provide you with glasses and ice at no extra cost.

After you’ve had your fill of amazing food and sunset views, your Darwin cruise ends at the wharf.

This sunset dinner cruise was fabulous. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The food was lovely, especially the smoked mackerel courtesy of the skipper. I loved the boat and would recommend this cruise to anyone.

I highly recommend this tour. Apart from the gorgeous sunset scenes, this boat is a more personalised service. The Chef cooked the best meal of grilled fish and accompanying salad l have ever eaten. My husband's steak was also perfection. Can't recommend enough ❤️

The food was superb and the service was fantastic. We loved the commentary which was very informative. We were not overcrowded and the skipper positioned us well to view the beautiful sunset. This was our second cruise with this company and both times lived up to our expectations and more. 3 years ago ( post covid) we took family on another boat as this one was not available. While it was a pleasant experience, it could not compare with the Cape Adieu

This is a great experience for couples. The service was good, the food was well presented and cooked. Comentary was good without being over the top. Byo alcohol is permitted glasses and ice bucket supplied No corkage. Glad we did this.

originally booked online and worried as it was booked by viator and it was an american company in american dollars. Worked out to the same amount in the end and was smooth sailing with the booking. They bent over backwards with changing seats around so we could get the spot we wanted on the boat. We were surprised at the unlimited buffet of oysters and prawns thinking we would only get a few but they kept filling it. The main meal was amazing and we could barely fit it in after the entree. The BYO was awesome... we could bring in as much as we wanted which was great! The sunset was perfect along with the weather and the staff were perfect.. always seeing if we needed anything else and taking pics for us. Highly recommended to do this cruise... will definitely do it again when i come back to Darwin !!!

The crew on the Cape Adieu are fantastic… They are so attentive to your every need. The food was delicious and way more than you would imagine you would get on a ship, great job. The night was calm and warm so very lovely sailing weather. The only downside was the lack of space to move about a bit. You are seated through out the journey so if you are positioned inwards you don’t have an easy view. But this aside it was a good sail with exceptional crew.
