Our guide (Bilal) was very knowledgeable and gave us a good overview of Doha sites too. When booking try to avoid Friday morning tour as some of the places are closed till afternoon. We were unable to visit the village because of this. Plus it is still pretty hot in mid September which is when we visited.

Interesting tour of Qatar desert.

Fish market very interesting. Mangroves likewise. Very hot but excellent vehicle and driver. Cold water supplied. No coffee or tea stated on voucher.

I think this tour is OK, but our tour guide Ismael was very good. He taught us a lot about Qatar's culture on our long drive. Al Khor city was a let down, probably because I declined a walk along the Corniche (it was well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit unshaded) and didn't realize that would be our only stop there. The mangroves were a nice change of scenery from the usual tan/orange color scheme. However, they apparently have purple flowers in the winter, but here I was like a fool in the summer! If you walk all the way through the walkway there is a cool rock formation though. Al Zubara Fort was cool to see, though it is quite small. If you time it right maybe you can catch the sunset.

we loved the Fort and the Mangroves - really very interesting. it was also great to get outside of Doha and see - firstly the untouched landscape and secondly the way in which new cities, neighbourhoods are being developed. Loved seeing - on the outside at least - the World Cup stadia. Our driver/guide was excellent - very chatty and informative about what we were seeing. never rushed us - highly recommend the tour - excellent value for money.

Wonderful morning out

The birdlife at the mangroves and the pearling story at the Fort were highlights. Ishmael told us much and through conversation the drives between the sites went very quickly. It was great to see Non-Doha Qatar.

Our guide was good, he had the right information and the right level of knowledge of the places we visitied. However most of these locations are an hour away so the time you spend at the site is very less compared to the time on the road. Zubara fort is a good one time view..

Long drive to interesting sites.

This trip was a long drive to see the sites. Be prepared for that. The Fort is worth a visit as was the abandoned fishing village. Mangrove area is lovely with flamingos in the distance. We did spend 45 minutes in a tire repair shop which made the trip somewhat rushed. We enjoyed seeing a few additional sites along the way. Driver did text, phone and drive at a high speed which was rather unnerving.

Lange Fahrzeiten, eher langweilige Tour. Am interessantesten war die Festung. Keine Flamingos gesehen.

Abholung am Hafen hat gut geklappt. Leider mussten wir den Fahrer erst suchen, da er kein Namensschild mit unserem Namen dabei hatte. Sehr netter Fahrer, er wusste viel über das Land zu erzählen. Die Tour selbst war mit langen Fahrstrecken verbunden. Die Landschaft bietet nicht viel, war aber eine gute Abwechslung zu den Städten, die wir zuvor besucht haben. Im Mangrovenhain kamen wir zu spät an, um Flamingos zu Gesicht zu bekommen. Ausser uns war keine Menschenseele da. In der Festung Zubara waren wir auch fast alleine. Die Festung ist schön restauriert und das Museum ist interessant. Wasser wurde vom Fahrer angeboten (gratis), etwas zu Essen besorgten wir uns in der Tankstelle (sonst keine Gelegenheit dazu, abgesehen eines kleinen Kiosks in er Festung). Insgesamt habe ich mir mehr vom Ausflug erwartet. War etwas enttäuscht.

Bonne vue d'ensemble de la nature entourant le Qatar. C'est étonnant de voir une Mangrove en plein désert!

C est un peu loin et un peu long pour une visite d une journée si on ajoute un musee

Je pense qu il faut coupler la visite du fort avec une visite d un musée car nous avons été un peu déçus par le fort ( c est loin et un peu sobre comme histoire)mais le guide très performant et très sympa
