Pick-up from hotels in El Calafate is included. Pick-up time from your hotel will be between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. If your hotel is NOT listed, please provide your hotel name when booking in the 'Special Requirements' box. If you are staying at an Airbnb/bungalow/apartment, please let us know and we will inform a meeting point for pick-up. You MUST give your personal phone number so that we can reach you if needed. Pick-up not included on hotels located in the outskirts of the city, such as ‘El Galpon del Glaciar’, ‘Eolo’, ‘Estancia Nibepo Aike’, etc. In this case, the traveler must pay an extra cost for the transfer to the city center. Transfer from El Calafate Airport/Bus Station to your Hotel in Calafate available with extra cost. Please ask at the moment of booking. Pick up time on Christmas and New Year may vary.

What To Expect

Perito Moreno Glacier has become a favorite Patagonian destination thanks to its impressive expanse, accessibility, and continuous movement. Your icy adventure begins with pickup at your El Calafate hotel and a scenic drive to Los Glaciares National Park, so named for the abundance of glaciers found here, including Upsala, Onelli, and Spegazzini.

Upon arrival at the park, explore the different walkways at your own pace and enjoy views of the great glacier from various angles. Watch closely to see giant slabs of ice detach from the glacier and slide into the surrounding lagoon.

Then, meet your guide for a cruise through the Rico Branch of Argentino Lake and a different perspective of this impressive glacier. Sail along the massive glacier wall and in between floating icebergs for an awe-inspiring watery perspective on this natural wonder. (only available if you’ve booked our "including Boat Safari" tour option)

After exploring the park, relax on the return drive to El Calafate, where your full-day tour concludes in the early evening.

  • Infant seats: Available for children from 3 up to 5 years old when requested in advance, subject to availability.
  • Please bring: Warm clothing, waterproof jacket, gloves, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable footwear and clothing. You can bring refreshments.
  • Inside the National Park there is a cafeteria where you can buy snacks or have lunch. Also, you can take your own box lunch.
  • You will be arriving back to El Calafate at approximately 5pm / 5:30pm.
  • A moderate amount of stairs involved

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Pablo was great and very informative about Perito Moreno, the park, and the other glaciers. We had a great time on the walkways and the glacier performed well! :) this was the next best thing to being able to trek on the glacier which I couldn’t do cause of my back problems.

We enjoyed the narrated and scenic ride to Petito Moreno Glacier and of course the scenic vistas of the glacier and hiking were amazing. The boat ride out on the lake for closer views of the glacier and the calving of ice were also spectacular. We got beautiful photos and breathtaking views…We recommend bringing a picnic lunch to make the most of watching as you eat lunch and enjoying the special time in the outdoors there. Definitely don’t miss this trip if you come to Patagonia.

Well organised. Guide was informative and made everything straightforward. Plenty of time to view the glacier at your own pace. The boat trip was worth the extra cost and again gave ample opportunity for everyone to take pictures.

Our tour guide Pablo was amazing. He told us a lot of great and interesting information and did a great job of informing the group in both Spanish and English. The boat safari is definitely worth it. I was hesitant because of the added cost but it adds a lot!

The experience was very good. Amazing scenaries, especially from the boat. During the road trip we were give interesting information on many aspects: flora, fauna, geology.
Expensive bus ride - not a “tour”

The glacier is beautiful, obviously, but this tour is essentially a bus ride. Admission to the park is not included, lunch is not included, and the boat ride is not included. You get picked up at your hotel, which is nice, you learn maybe 1-2 facts about the glacier on the bus, then you have 2 hours of “free time” to walk around the glacier by yourself. The bus ride home was mostly silent. I’m confused about why a 2 hour bus ride costs over 100USD. Just find an actual bus or drive and skip this tour. You’ll have an identical experience.

We an excellent tour- our guide Natalie gave us an amazing education on our drive into the park. She also went above and beyond and took and interest in our travels and gave excellent advice! The park itself was stunning and we were given sufficient time to explore the boardwalk near the glaciers and eat lunch. Then we went on the boat cruise to get up to the glaciers. All around great day!

Wonderful full day trip to the glacier. Communication with the company was easy. We provided the address of our Airbnb and they provided us with a location to meet them that was easy to get to and very close to us. Our tour guide Martín was very nice and knowledgeable and spoke both English and Spanish! I’d recommend bringing some snacks or lunch with you for the bus ride or to eat at the glacier once you arrive. It’s also very windy so layers and a wind breaker are key to your enjoyment! Perfect day and a great experience with good overall value.

Highly recommend this tour and the boat upgrade is worth the money. Nadia from Hulles del Sul (local guide) was an excellent guide and made it a fun experience for all. Collections were prompt and the day ran smoothly. Take a packed lunch to enjoy on the glacier walkways as you will have around 2 hours to enjoy the views.

The Walkways, and the Boat Safari were both Excellent. As beautiful as the Glacier is from the walkways- seeing Glaciar from the Water is totally different - and wonderful- don't miss it. Taking a tour with a Minibus is much pleasantthan on a Full-size bus - in part because less time is spent picking people up at various Hotels - and dropping them off.

The tour guide is very knowlegable and fluent both English and Spanish. The tour is on time and well managed. I took the boat safari option and it was well worth it. The boat stopped near Perito Merino Glaciers for quite a long time so you have plenty of time to take pictures, although a lot of people on board the boat. Perito Merino is amazing from boat view and land view !. I would have rated this tour 5/5 if they picked me up from my accommodation, instead of asking me to walk to other hotel to be picked up.

It was a great tour with a convenient hotel pickup and drop-off. The guide was very informative and provided us with information throughout the trip. The glacier itself was magnificent! I went there during July and the weather was fine. Cold but sunny, I was able to enjoy my time there. Definitely recommend to solo female travelers. I will write a review for Arabic speakers: الجولة كانت جداً رائعة تشمل المواصلات من والى الفندق في باص مريح. حجزت رحلة القارب وكانت تجربة ممتعة ان تشوفون الجليد عن قرب. كانت رحلتي فشهر جولاي والجو كان بارد ومشمس يعني محتمل. منظم الرحلة يتحدث بالانجليزية. انصح بهذه التور للراغبين بزياره جليد بيرتو مورينو.
