    The palace is amazing. I could go ten times more. The guide was great. The instructions on how to get the tickets were wrong

    Logistical Ticket Issues - Turned Away

    Booked this experience for myself and my significant other on holiday. Only to queue in line at Pitti Palace, and be told that my booking was invalid, and that they “normally experience this problem” with this booking. My husband was super excited about this specific experience and so we repurchased the tickets, as we were already busy that day and did not have time for Viator’s logistical issues. I would’ve much rather have bought the ticket at the actual palace because it was the same price with less complications and they could get us in sooner

    The guide command of English was poor. hard to understand . She did not explain or go over the history . It very hurried and rushed

    I highly recommend the guided tour. Before the tour I knew a little about the Medici family bankers and some of their influence on the arts and sciences. I had no idea how extensive it actually was. And, their influence in the Roman Catholic Church.

    Take your walking shoes along... it is a huge gallery. Also advisable to book the combo ticket for the gardens.

    The Palace and the amount of art is overwhelming. We also enjoyed the special exhibit on the life of Eleanor of Toledo.

    It was easy to get the tickets, we were able to get in quickly and the museum was impressive. Was disappointed that the Boboli Gardens was a separate ticket. IT should made clearer on the description what is NOT included since if you are unfamiliar with an attraction you would have no way of knowing. The fact that costume museum was closed was also a disappointment and not called out in the description.

    The tour included a guide who never arrived. Waited over 30 minutes and still didn't arrive. An employee of the Palace was helpful. Telephoned the agent who was not helpful. Employee of the palace spoke to agent and we eventually got a ticket to enter but with no guide.

    The palace was beautiful. I’m unfortunately there were no audio guides to rent so you are on your own if you don’t hire a tour guide. Parts of the palace were closed which wasn’t mentioned prior to our visit. But the treasures and art are spectacular. The biggest issue was retrieving our tickets prior to the visit. We were told a tour guide would meet us there. No one was there. We called Viator and they said to pick up our tickets at the Pitti ticket office. The ticket agent said they didn’t hold tickets for independent tour groups an sent us to the front entrance. The front entrance sent us back to the ticket office. We again called Viator and handed the phone to the ticket agent and they worked it out. But it was 45 minutes of wasted time trying to figure out how to get our tickets. The email should tell you exactly where to go and what to do (it only gives very general instructions). But better yet, we live in a digital world. Send us the actual tickets in email before we arrive. That would have been amazingly convenient and provided a much better experience.

    Entry was very easy and no lines. Sadly there were no audio guides so you should get a tour. We enjoyed the time there but an audio guide would help.

    the Pitti palace is a must see and the gallery is one of the most amazing private collections I’ve seen in Rome. That being said; if you can find your tour operator that’s great. My normal experience was you wonder from various tour companies asking where your tour company meets and no one knows or will help. Since there are at least six at every attraction and you just want to avoid the crowds and the lines. It’s not a pleasant experience. I’m not impressed h this time with my booking experience. Sorry but other companies just email your tickets.

    the palace and museums were awesome but i had an issue at the entrance - the staff couldn't find my reservation and it took a while for her to give me the ticket and had attitude. although i had no problem with viator, the staff at the palace was really impolite.

    Es un gran museo, muchísimas obras, hay algunas en restauración pero en general vale la pena, sin embargo hace mucha falta el guía o al menos un audio guía, las obras no cuentan en su mayoría con alguna explicación escrita.
