What To Expect

Following convenient pickup at your Florianópolis accommodation, board a comfortable tour vehicle with your guide and tour group. Wear comfortable shoes, as the next 8 hours of touring the city and the island will involve a moderate amount of walking.

Start at the city's most important square, Praça Novembro XV, where the Palace Cruz e Souza stands, now the home of the historical museum of Santa Catarina. Learn the importance of the palace as a setting for several important historical events, including hosting Brazilian emperors in the past.

Visit the Ponte Hercilio Luz, the first bridge constructed linking Santa Catarina to the mainland. Stop at the Lagoa da Conceição, beloved by locals for its calm waters and lined by historical neighborhood houses. Continue to Jurerê, a trendy spot on the north end of the island frequented by the young, the rich, and the famous.

End your day with drop-off back at your hotel.

Great tour guide who was very accommodating to me as the only non-Brazilian. This tour is mostly about visiting beach locations around Floripa and not about culture or history. I was hoping to get to a museum and one of the forts.

Nao engloba toda a ilha, mas é importante para situar onde se está. Em alta temporada a outros tours para o norte e sul da ilha, mas na baixa temporada normalmente as agencias oferecem esse City tour que foca no centro e leste da ilha.
