What To Expect

Following pickup at the cruise port or any Freeport hotel, board your comfortable vehicle and take the roughly 20-minute ride to Paradise Cove. As the coach heads west, pass through Eight Mile Rock, a native settlement with important social and cultural significance. Learn about local landmarks and Bahamian history from your guide as you travel.

Upon arrival, rent a locker or towel (own expense) at the Red Bar or order a tropical cocktail. Decide how you want to spend your day: relaxing on the beach or participating in one of many available activities. Kayak, stand-up paddleboard or jump into a game of beach volleyball. Slip on some snorkel gear and discover Deadman's Reef just offshore after listening to a short safety briefing and information on how to help preserve the reef. An instructor is on hand to teach any first-timers the basics of snorkeling.

If you selected the day pass option (not "snorkel only,") enjoy lunch at the Red Bar, which includes fish burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs and chicken, plus a beverage of your choice.

When your day of fun on this secluded beach is over, board your vehicle and head back to your Freeport hotel for drop-off.

We had a blast swimming with turtles and other wildlife. Water was amazing. We went with our kids who loved it as well. Plus it was half the price we would have paid if booking through our cruise.

Sea turtles up close feeding. Nice shop and good food. Worth the visit for sure. Some shade but a lot of 🌞 which was great because temps were in 70s, late March. Beautiful site. Not crowded - important for families, and those who want to get away from busy city life.

Best snorkeling, not the best facility!

The snorkeling was the absolute best at this location …beautiful coral and lots of fish. The down side is you have to swim a long way to see the coral and fish. The facility is not in the best shape.. they need to pick up trash and it could use a facelift… There was some confusion with the booking information and be prepared for an additional cost for the use of umbrellas. The staff were friendly and helpful.

At first I was nervous because they never answered the phone and I wanted to confirm the pick up time. But they showed up and had some seats ready for us on the shuttle bus. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. They had everything we needed to enjoy a fantastic day swimming with Sea Turtles. Definitely worth it.

Bus driver "Nathan" was awesome! Very friendly and told us all about Freeport on our way to the beach. The entire staff is wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Our day was very windy and rainy, we still saw a lot of fish and (2) turtles even with the choppy waves. We had a blast and the location/beach is not as over crowded If you time your visit just right you can see the swimming pigs down the beach Next visit I would definitely come back here for snorkeling.

Amazing experience! Snorkeling with Fallon was wonderful - she was a great guide. We saw 5 turtles and tons of fish. The food hit the spot. This is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Nice Excursion to Beach and Reef

Did some snorkeling. Saw a sea turtle and a ray. The driver (Nathan) was easily located at the port, and was timely with the 20-30 minute ride in both directions. Would have gone five instead of four except that the place is pretty plain (not what some would consider a "resort," and the beach very shallow at low tide. It is not far (1/4 mile wade/swim) to the deep=water reef. Driver and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

From start to finish, this was a great experience. We were a little nervous about taking a third party excursion and having issues getting back to the ship by all-aboard time, but we shouldn't have worried. We had a great time and will be coming back!

Paradise Cove was lovely. Very friendly staff, very snorkel friendly environment. We were there during low tide, so the water was shallow, but beautiful snorkeling. Saw and swam with 4 different sea turtles and a barracuda. I would highly recommend Paradise Cove and Viator.

Nate Parker was out pickup person. There was miscommunication between us and the lady at the port keeping everything in order. She told us where to go for pickup and was so wrong leading to us being picked up an hour late. Paradise Cove picks us from the far side, behind the little shops. The beach was beautiful and I’m sure would have been perfect if it didn’t rain the entire time! Regret not paying the extra $10 for the guided snorkeling tour. They saw huge turtles and stingrays and various other aquatic creatures. We saw fish tank size fish. Pay the extra. We didn’t do the all inclusive. Paid for beach chairs and didn’t even use them! It’s ok. I would definitely do this tour again. Debbie Ann at Paradise was the best!

Our group included my 87 yr old dad. He and Mom (85) enjoyed shade and ocean breezes on the patio. The bathrooms and changing areas were clean and easy for them to use. Hamburgers and hot dogs hit the spot. Snorkeling we saw sea turtles and a huge stingray. Felt like a family BBQ with nature’s best snorkeling. No crowds when we were there. Will definitely go back!

The bus was air conditioned. The driver gave us some information about the local area we were driving through the beach chairs were comfortable. We loved the snorkeling. We say lots of pretty fish, large turtles, and cool shells. The food was basic but good. I would definitely go back.

Every part of this excursion was great! The pick up from the was port was easy. Once we arrived at Paradise Cove the check in was easy and fast. The snorkeling was amazing. Pay the extra $10 for the guided snorkeling tour. Ryan was my guide for snorkeling and he was great!!! He was very patient as I was a novice in snorkeling. He made sure I saw turtles, tons of fish, and the reefs. The food was great too. The fish sandwich was awesome!!!!! The only issue was the sand flies :(

Me and my daughter did snorkeling it was her first time and she absolutely LOVED the experience! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful! We got to see turtles and a multitude of fish & coral! We also tried conch for the 1st time. Highly recommend this excursion- we didn’t have the full day pass but it includes other water sport activities as well.
