Full coverage food tour!

This was a great food tour. The tour guide was amazing- she gave a ton of great info. There was a TON of great food. I liked that part of the tour was at the restaurants, but a section of the tour was siting down and included a whiskey tasting. This food tour covered so many areas- and we even got a cute take away bag. Loved this entire experience. Highly recommend.

I love to do food tours when I go to a new city, and this tour was one of the best I have been on. Don’t worry you will not leave the tour hungry! I loved that we were introduced to restaurants, markets, and shops that I wouldn’t have found without this tour and I truly felt like I was getting a sense of the “real” Galway through the foods we tasted. I had the best cup of seafood chowder I’ve ever had in my life on this tour! I’d highly recommend going on your first day in Galway so you will have a chance to head back to some of your favorites - and the guide will also give you some recommendations for additional places to head to. Seriously a must for anyone staying in Galway - you will not be disappointed!

Danny McGill was the guide and he is a great guy. Friendly, organized, very knowledgeable. Very nice choices for where to eat to get a good selection. All this was very memorable for all the people on the tour.

I loved this tour so much! Michelle was an awesome guide and had so much knowledge about the history of each spot we went and the city itself! I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of food and drinks we got everywhere - it was well worth the price! I would recommend doing early on in your stay because there were so many places we went I would've wanted to try more!

My husband and I recently went on this food tour and while our guide Michelle was fantastic, Galway just doesn't have much to offer in terms of food options. It sounds like they were hit hard by covid and just haven't recovered. Our guide did a nice job of talking about each of the places, but the offerings just weren't great.

Meh, it was okay but too expensive for what we got

We booked this tour months before the tour date. Within a day or so the tour operator contacted us to ask about any food allergies, preferences. Responded by saying there was a shellfish allergy, but we knew what to avoid. A week or so before the tour the time changed. Again, no biggie and we rolled with it. Our tour guide Gina was knowledgeable and friendly, and we had a fun group. She let us know that the last stop included shellfish and we said no problem. And it wouldn’t have been a problem except that a vegetarian in our group was served a vegetarian option while we went without. When we asked if we could just have the bread the crab was on we were told no, that wasn’t possible. Then why did you ask about allergies months before? We left hungry — there really wasn’t that much actual food — two nibbles of cheese and two nibbles of salami type meats, along with some sweets. Another tiny app in another spot, and a little cup of a curry from a food stand. We had to go find a restaurant for dinner as soon as the tour concluded since we weren’t all that keen on what we’d gotten. We’d done another food tour in another city the year before and had so many samples to choose from (and for a lesser price than this tour) that guess we were expecting more. We still had a good time, but we wouldn’t do it again. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests. Keep in mind it’s a lot of walking (and very few places to stop to sit along the way) if you have any mobility issues.

We are very disappointed you did not fully enjoy your food tour with us. We do indeed ask every guest upon booking to advise us of any dietary requirements & dislikes. For some reason, we did not receive your response, hence we were not aware of your shellfish allergy. Some of our venues prepare the food in advance, for this venue we were unable to offer an alternative. Sheena is a fantastic guide and I learned so much about Irish food history as well as the advances that have been made in recent decades towards fleshing out Irish cuisine. Highly recommend this tour! The food samples are delicious and it's 3 hours long with a lot of variety.

This was a wonderful time with a fabulous host. We had a marvelous taste of some of Galway’s best treats from the sweets to whiskey and all locally produced. The pairing of local bites with flavorful drinks was a highlight on our Galway stay.

Great tour, pleasantly surprised with what was included. Our guide was amazing, informed and entertaining, the food exceptional. My recommendation would be to do the food tour on your first day (if you're there for multiple days) so you're exposed to what there is in Galway.
