What To Expect
After hotel pickup in the morning in Cairo or Giza by private air-conditioned van with on-board Wi-Fi, your tour starts with the drive to the Mosque of Ibn Tulun, the oldest still-intact mosque in Egypt, completed in 879.
Known for its minaret with an external staircase, the mosque features early Islamic architecture, which you'll hear about from your Egyptologist guide. Then continue to the Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, which dates back to 1360 and represents a Mamluk style of Islamic architecture. It's home to a mausoleum and madrasas (religious schools).
Finally, head to Al-Rifa'i Mosque (Royal Mosque), constructed in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Featuring Ottoman-style architecture, the mosque is the final resting place of members of the Egyptian royal family, as well as the last Shah of Iran, who died in 1980.
Your tour then ends with return transfer to your hotel for drop-off.
