Perfect transfer

The trip was enjoyable, Hue has so much more going for it than we realised. Our tour guide Ahn was knowledgable and made the experience relaxing with his great personality. Seeing the Tomb of the King and the Citadel were definite highlights Lunch was included and it was delicious and abundant. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent trip to Hue despite the bad weather (raining almost all day..) Our tour guide Ben was very knowledgeable and I leaned a lot about Vietnamese history. He was also very kind and looked after us really well. The lunch was very tasty too. It became one of the unforgettable memories for me and my daughter. Thanks a lot!!

There is so much to see in Hue city with the Imperial Palace and the burial place of the king but you need a good guide

Our guide (Harry) although seemed knowledgeable was not very engaging and lacked passion, also we struggled to hear him a few times, hence we ended up disconnected from the experience and just walking behind him.

A walk through history

One of the best parts of this trip was not only seeing the Ancient city, but the way the Tour guide weaved us into the story of the Vietnam Dynasties, and history of the Emporers, told us to remember detail, and bring us back to it later - very clever. It was a long 12 day being picked up from Hoi An, but we did not feel exhausted when we got back. Even the 120 steps up to the Emporers tomb at the end of they was not a huge effort.

We had a wonderful day. Our tour guide Cong was very knowledgeable and provided us with detailed information at all our stops. The weather on the day was so hot, Cong and our driver made sure there always cold water available for us.

A long but informative day! I highly recommend this tour if you are trying to see the highlights of Hue with limited time! Our guide was kind and helpful and knowledgeable! He made sure to spend some individual time with everyone to ensure they were getting everything they could out of the tour and that was much appreciated! Highly recommended!

Tour spoilt because of young children

Unfortunately, the most memorable part of this tour was the inclusion a Dutch group comprising 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 children, one 3-4 years old, the other around 12 months old. The problem started when the van went to the Furama Resort to pick up the group - apparently they had changed their accommodation from Furama Villas to the Resort but the hotel sent the van to the Villas and after waiting, waiting the guide was told that they were in fact at the Resort. So back to the resort we went. Ten minutes after picking them up, the driver stopped to put some air in the tyres and the whole group disembarked from the van along with the pusher and had an argument on the footpath about whether or no to continue because someone thought their were too many in the van. Those of us sitting in the van thought we might be lucky but alas, they all got back in. Because they were last ones to join the van , they were seated from the front to the back. During the tour, the adults and the eldest child conducted loud conversation from front to the back and hardly stopped talking for the whole tour - the youngest child screamed and screeched for much of the tour. This group showed no consideration to the rest of the tour participants and neither the tour guide nor the driver should have had to put up with their behaviour. Sadly, the end result was that this Dutch group totally spoilt the tour experience. If I recall correctly, the tour blurb offered half price for children under 12 but In my view, no child under 12 should be allowed on such a tour, especially one which takes a whole day. Once bitten, twice shy, we will not do another Viator tour which makes it possible for children under 12 to be involved! I commend the tour guide and the driver for the way in which they handled the situation and thank them for looking after the rest of us. And by the way, the Vietnamese lunch was excellent.

Long day but worth it

Had a great tour guide in Cong, and driver. Very knowledgeable on all the sites we visited. Full bus , so was lucky to sit in the front . Beautiful scenery. Had a lovely, yet long day.

We were given plenty of time to have a good look around accompanied by an excellent tour guide (and driver). Plenty of stops for photo opportunities, and we had a whole boat to ourselves and enjoyed some fantastic food. An excellent day!

Awesome tour! Stopped at a lagoon on the way where I bought a pair of pearl earrings made from pearls that grew in the lagoon! Hue was stunning, and the guide very informative. Although it was a long day (just over 12 hours) it didn't feel like it at all.

The Marble Mountains were gorgeous and the citadel was incredible to walk through. Our guide Tommi was excellent and told us so many interesting stories about Vietnam’s history.
