Great experience - booked the shuttle the day before (needing a ride came up last minute) and had no problem. The day of ride I called at 8am to see if my 10am ride could push to 11am due to my flight getting delayed. Again, no issue with changing. Came when they said and brought us to airport. Very easy to reach and make arrangements.

We were picked up right on time, however we had a little trouble finding the pickup location at 5:00 in the morning. Everything looks different in the dark. The only bad part for me was that the van was packed full. Too many people squished together and we had to squeeze into the back. Got us to the airport in plenty of time. We actually could have taken a shuttle an hour later since Air NZ didn't open until 6:30. We didn't know that so we had to sit around until it opened. We were actually texted and told we had an option to change to 6:00 but they didn't say why we would want to do that so we stayed with our time.

Driver was on time but he had the air conditioning blasting, and it was freezing in there. We were in the van was only two other women who were sitting directly behind us and they were freezing as well. We all asked the driver to please turn the air down, and he refused. It was a miserable ride. he should have made his passengers comfortable.

I would have done 5 stars because the actual shuttle was extremely comfortable and clean but our driver made the experience a 2 star. First he went to the wrong hotel, when he finally picked us up he didn’t talk to us other than telling us not to eat or drink in the shuttle. We picked up another group of people (we all fit fine). After we dropped them off at their terminal at the airport our driver started taking pictures of our luggage (we could see him from the camera on the dashboard). He then called someone while he was driving us to our terminal and proceeded to tell whoever he was talking on the phone with that we had too many luggages and that we should be charged more because the other groups luggage didn’t fit. (Obviously their luggage did fit because they got to the airport fine with all the luggage in the back) He also said “You should call them because they are going to think i am just wanting money from them” Like we couldn’t clearly hear him. I then got a call from the tour operator telling me that we were only allowed 2 luggages per person (I never knew that nor was it ever mentioned because i obviously wouldn’t have booked with them if that was the case because I knew how many luggages we had) I was told i would have to pay $5 more for each of the extra bags. I didn’t argue because we had to catch our flight and i was traveling with my 1 year old and paid the driver. I even gave him a $10 tip. He just seemed annoyed with us from the beginning.

I usually always book my shuttles through via Air and will continue to do so. This particular dryer was a bit of a nervous man, and wasn’t able to find one of the passengers, no fault of the driver, but it was a bit of a challenging ride to the airport.

Poor Airport Shuttle Experience

The shuttle to the airport was 55 minutes late picking us up! Shuttle company was Fly Shuttle & Tours. I had talked to them early that morning to see what the vehicle looked like and they were helpful and courteous. However, they simply put us on hold when we called to see why they were late and when (if) they would show up. They would not talk to us! I called Viator and they couldn’t get a straight response as to why they hadn’t showed up or if/when they would. The driver showed up at 9:55am and acted like it was no big deal. I would say he had a sullen attitude. Another couple was already on the bus. They too had a 9:00am pick up time, and told me they were picked up around 9:20am! Their hotel must have been pretty far away. You might want to consider dropping this firm. This experience has shaken my impression of Viator. I’ve used the company for tours around the world, but will not book a shuttle through you again.

Communication could have be better. Showed on the website pickup at 5 am but not where. Messaged, no response. Shuttle called later in the day with pickup location at Ilikai .At 4:55 am I received a call and told me to come down. I was already down in front of the Ilikai waiting. Seemed to be confused where we were. Picked up at 5:15. Made it to the airport on time.
