We did this trip because of a limited time we had. Honestly was the best decision we made.. Our driver was Sam.. What to say for this guy!! An excellent person, very helpful, very willing to everything, he gave us tips for the places we wanted to go, he helped us with the communication with the people don't speak English, no rush not any limitations, excellent english speaker.. For sure this tour wouldn't be the same without this specific driver.. thank you for everything Sam, it was pleasure meeting you ❤️

A good way to see the sites of Hue.

While the cost was more than if you arranged individual trips to each of the sites, having a driver available to you was hassle free. The driver, Voi was engaging and knowledgeable, flexible to meet our needs on the day and was always right there when done. No pressure of time. Vehicle was excellent and water always on hand.

It's basically a driving service with a driver can speak English. The driver just drove us to several places and waited for us outside when we finished our visit for each temple or tomb.

A tour of Hue with Son

Our driver, Son, messaged in the morning to confirm our pick up. He arrived promptly and explained the plan for the day. He spoke good English and taught us a bit about his home town, as well as the detail for the planned stops at the Citadel and Tombs. Before the end of the trip, he also showed us some local sights that we would not have known about otherwise. A very worthwhile trip.

Great driver, sites not worth the time

My 5 stars review is really for the driver. The tour was to The Citadel and 4-5 other tombs. The Citadel was interesting, but frankly, once you've seen a tomb, the others were all the same and boring. The entrance fees were high for Vietnam, at 150k-200k VND pp for each tomb site. With thousands of people going through those sites, the amount they collect has got to be huge, yet it doesn't look like the money goes into the upkeep of the sites. Kinda makes you wonder where all that money is going, huh? The driver, Trung, was great. He told us of the area and the sites we were going to go see. He's not a guide, so he won't accompany you to the sites, but he's great. Without him, I'd give this tour a 1 or 2 and would encourage you to just get a Grab to the Citadel and skip the tombs. Those were a waste of money.

This a driver service between different locations, not a guide for inside the places. That said our driver Sam-Huang Vu was excellent, supplying lots of additional information on entrances and options and was immediately at exit gates. Also supplied lots of info on Vietnam. Definitely recommended.

A Worthwhile Tour

Our guide, Hoa (Stop & Go Tours) was punctual, friendly and well informed of the areas we went to visit. He drove safely and provided a bottle of water. He did not hurry us. Gave us clear directions where to go once we arrived at a historical site and was always ready to move onto the next site. We had the flexibility to spend as much time as we wanted on each site. Offered to stop in shopping areas which we declined. Pointed out areas of interest and told us stories we would not have otherwise heard, if we had chosen to go on our own.

Excellent adventure in Hue

Had a wonderful day travelling around Hue with our private driver, Hoa. He was knowledgeable with much information, which helped us understand the various stops that we made. Highlights were the three tombs, the incense village and the abandoned waterpark. Hoa had excellent English and a great sense of humour. A thoroughly enjoyable experience as we were left to our own devices at each of the stops, so we could do what we wanted. Highly recommend.

We only had one day in Hue post arriving by train, so wanted to see as much as possible in this time, this tour delivered! The citadel was the highlight for my brother who has a keen interest in the history, our guide was very knowledgeable and taught us loads about the monarchy and it’s history. He was very accommodating and ensured we were having fun at all the stops. He even went out of his way to locate my lost phone (with all my photos on). A great day and a great guide, thanks.

We were ready for the tour half an hour before our scheduled time. When I messaged our driver, Son, to enquire if we could start a bit earlier, we were surprised that he was already waiting for us outside the hotel! So that was a good start. Son was very polite and patient. He began by providing us with a clear itinerary summary but was willing to change the plan to suit us. Although this excursion did not include a tour guide, Son told us about some Vietnamese culture on the way and shared some stories of the life of local people. As we finished visiting all the designated places a bit early, Son took us to extra spots to take beautiful pictures of the Perfume River and visit an incense village. Overall, we are happy with our city tour in Hue. Highly recommend!
