Meeting point is on the beach behind the Tangeri Hotel, it's ONLY a reference point and not affected with us. Go one block north of the Tangeri to the corner of Pastor Diaz Ave and calle Sunrise, there's Pink awnings on the corner, turn West to the beach. There's plenty of parking on the beach.

Manny was an amazing host! This was so much fun, he told us the history of Costa Ric, authentic places to eat, and he even had water on hand for us. He took the best pictures of us as well. Will definitely be doing this again when I come back. Manny is awesome, book this—you won’t regret it!

Manny is awesome! He meets you on the beach and takes you along the shore to a jungle trail where we saw white faced monkeys scampering in the trees and a sloth lounging on a branch high above. On the way back there is a scenic rocky cove ideal for photos. Manny is fluent in both English and Spanish, so communication is easy and stress-free.

Antonio is THE best for this trip! He is the original tour guide of Jaco beach on horseback. He was an American living in Texas who fell in love with Costa Rica and had been living here for 20+ years. Incredibly nice and easygoing, and very helpful. If you want to learn horseback riding with a knowledgeable American turned Costa Rican, this is the guy and tour you need

Had a really lovely late afternoon horse ride along the beach
Manny was really helpful and attentive - the horses are really well looked after and very calm
Neither of us have ridden before but that didn’t matter
We saw monkeys in the rain forest too

We had an incredible time on the horses!!! We walked through the ocean, the river and the jungle! We saw even saw monkeys! The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and taught us everything we needed to know about the wildlife and riding a horse. This was also a toddler friendly excursion, our 19 month old fell in love with our horse!

Overall, the tour was nice. We went during sunset and the views were gorgeous. The tour guide was nice but a little bit more instruction on how to ride the horses and more safety precautions could be put into place (as this was done on a public beach with all sorts of things from kids to dogs on the path). Just beware that your feet might get a little wet half way through the trip as you go over a river! The tour guide took a lot nice pictures as we weren't able to take any for ourselves and told us they would share it with us but never ended up doing so. We also sent a follow up email but never received an email back which was disappointing.

We'd be happy to send you any pictures we may have. You didn't hire us to take pictures. Though, we do share what pictures we take with our guests. We don't understand why you didn't take any pictures yourselves, we encourage taking pictures. All of our guest's usually take pictures and videos during their tour. We always stop for photo ops.
If you weren't sure about the riding instructions, we would have been more than happy to have assisted you with further instructions. We can't control the beach environment. It was "Spring Break" when you booked the tour, the beaches were full. The tour does take place on a public beach. Yes, there are people and obstacles in the surroundings, it's a beach. Part of the journey and adventure takes riders though a river, in order to get to the other side of the estuary, to see the monkeys, sloths and other wildlife. Sometimes during a high tide the river gets higher than usual. We always advise our guests if they wish to cross and that their shoes could get wet. We always ask our guests if they want to cross, if not, we don't cross. Thanks again:)

Great very informative. We saw monkeys and three sloths. We saw birds and plants. Very calm horses. Beautiful ride on the beach and into the jungle.

Our guide Manney was great! His horses were calm and friendly for first-time or beginner riders. We took our kids ages 9, 12, and 15 and everyone had a great time. The views as you ride down the beach are gorgeous. Then, you go into the forest, where Manney searched for animals in the wild for us to see. We actually spotted a Sloth in a tree above! Manney took a couple of great family photos and everyone had a great time. We did the 10am tour and it was quite hot. If you can swing the sunset tour I think the temperatures might be more comfortable. Afterwards you are right by the Tangeri Beach Hotel and restaurant. It's a great place for a cocktail or meal. Wonderful excursion! Enjoy!

So fun! Even my grumpy teen/tween grudgingly admitted they enjoyed it. Very knowledgeable guide and got to see some monkeys and a sloth!

Manny was awesome and will gladly come back to ride with him again. Loved seeing the different animals he pointed out and riding on the beach. All skill levels would be fine. Also he takes great care of the horses. Not your typical place that just leaves them out all day.
