The transportation in Jaco area has an extra charge of $5 per person, must be paid in cash. Minimum of 2 people The transportation in Herradura and Los Sueños area has an extra charge of $20 per way in cash. The transportation in Playa Hermosa and Los Sueños area has an extra charge of $20 per way.

We had a really fun and exciting morning with our guide Coco. He shared lots of interesting facts about the wildlife and fauna we saw on our tour and gave lots of good advice for other activities in the area. The horses are extremely sound and trained to follow their guide horse. Most of the tour was on the beach with a couple of stops into the jungle to look for wildlife (we were lucky and saw 2 sloths!). We highly recommend this tour!

Gentle horses and amazing guide!

This was our first excursion in Jaco and it was lovely. Our amazing guide, Antonio, actually came to our condo on the beach with the horses so all we had to do was walk out of our building. The horses were in good health and extremely calm. After a short lesson we were assigned our horses and we were off. We walked through a portion of the beach and onto a path where our guide told us about the flora in the area. The horses were calm and easy to ride, even if you have no experience. We also saw white faced monkeys and Scarlet Macaws on our ride. Antonio is a lovely guide who took many pictures of us and sent them do us via Whatsapp which was great to enjoy the experience without having to worry about taking photos.

Fun Horseback Riding Experience

Even though it was raining quite a bit in the beginning, we still had an awesome experience. The horses we rode were very gentle and well trained. The guide, Adrian, was helpful and very friendly!

Great family friendly company

We loved our horseback riding adventure. We booked the 1pm but then was messaged that going at 3:30 would be just our group of 5. Given we have 3 kids in our group, a private ride sounded perfect. The guides were excellent, very professional and had a focus on safety that we appreciated as they gave all of the kids helmets to wear. We saw other outfitters with similarly aged kids on the horses and they did not have helmets so I realized this was not as common as I had assumed. The horses were well trained, easy tempered and seemed to be taken care of. We saw a few sloths along the way and had amazing sunset views. We were all so thankful to have gotten on the later ride! My daughter wanted to book another tour the next day she enjoyed it so much. Would definitely recommend this to others!

This trip was BEYOND all expectations. We couldn’t have dreamed it would be that fun! Our host made conversation, let us have fun and even tried to scout out monkeys and sloths for us. We will use him 100% of the time when we come back. I couldn’t ask for a better tour guide.

This was by far a highlight of our trip. Our guide, Coco was amazing. My 10 year old daughter’s horse was so gentle and Coco was very attentive to her. We saw sloths, macaws, and lots of other wildlife. Coco was very knowledgeable about the area and the flora and fauna. I had never been on a horse and went from nervous to relaxed in minutes. This was a beautiful experience.

Adrian, our guide was knowledgeable, kind and patient with patrons and the horses. Takes great care of the horses and they are fed/watered frequently and not overworked. We watched the most amazing sunset while at the beach while Adrian explained life from a native Costa Rican perspective. Highly recommend!

Delightful adventure on horseback and on ziplines!

I did the combined horseback riding and ziplining tour with a group of friends. Our horseback guide, Fabricio, picked us up at the location where we were staying and was extremely courteous! The ride took us along a lovely beach where we stopped for photos (the photo service is an extra $20, but our guide used a professional camera and the photos came out great!) The ziplining was also fantastic; guides had a great sense of humor and an adventurous spirit. If you've ever wondered what going on a zipline upside down is like, now's your chance to find out! The ziplining company also has a restaurant onsite with excellent food and drinks (nachos are to die for!) I 100% recommend this experience; it's great value, especially for a group.

This trip was amazing from start to finish, our guide Fabresio did an amazing job showing us everything we needed to know as beginners. He was so gentle with the horses, we would definitely book again with this company. He took pictures for us for an extra fee which was so worth it. If you’re thinking of doing horseback in Jaco you won’t regret using these guys! Thank you so much again Bev and Melissa
