Overview

Kalamata is known across the globe for its local olives, but it takes an insider to know where to sample the best extra-virgin olive oil. With this olive oil tour and tasting, visit a local olive farm for a stroll through the olive trees to learn about the different kinds of olives and their cultivation. Depending on the season, you’ll also visit an olive oil mill to see how the oil is extracted and bottled. End with a guided olive oil tasting plus a light or full lunch at a traditional taverna.

Transfer is needed to visit the Olive grove and the Olive oil mill which are located 10' away from Kalamata city centre. Please inform us if you have your own vehicle. In other case, we can arrange it with our partners at an extra cost.
Availability of the Olive grove tour: All year round, Monday – Sunday.
The Olive oil tour experience may be offered also in the afternoons at 17:30 p.m. The Olive oil mill is closed in the afternoons, so the experience includes only the Olive grove tour and the olive oil tasting experience.
Availability of the Olive oil tasting experience: All year round: Monday - Sunday either in the mornings or in the afternoons.

Also offered on 15th August. Holy Friday - Easter Tuesday & Greek official holidays are excluded.
Availability & visit at the Olive oil mill: March to October from Monday to Saturday only in the mornings. November - February, after coordination and depending on availability due to olive harvesting period.

An Exceptional Experience!

5 stars is not enough for the level of service, attention and joy Maria showed us. From start to finish we learned so much about extra virgin olive oil, the process and the history as well as shared experiences through out Greece. We highly recommend Maria’s olive tour and so much more! We had the light lunch which was an added bonus that was more than worth it!
