What To Expect

At least 30 minutes before your boat is due to depart, arrive at Krabi Passenger Port. Or, you can opt for convenient hotel pickup if you’re staying in Ao Nang, Krabi Tow, and Ao Nam Mao—you’ll find out the exact time once you’ve booked.

Then, you’ll board your ferry destined for the Phi Phi Islands. Choose a seat on the upper deck or inside with the air-conditioning. After around two hours, you’ll arrive at Ton Sai Pier on Koh Phi Phi Don.

Convenient transportation to Phi Phi

I used this in February. The trip was as advertised on the web site. I used the hotel pickup. The minibus used arrived at the stated time and was comfortable and air conditioned. The Andaman Wave ferry was used, and it was fine. It isn't luxurious or particularly fast but it was air conditioned and reasonably comfortable. The cost of the entire journey including the hotel transfer was about the same as I would have had to pay at the dock for the ferry itself. I would recommend this service to others.

Horrible experience

The lady who contacted us over whatsapp was nice . But the driver who came to pick us up was late by 6 mins . He was supposed to come between 7:50 am to 8 am and he arrived at our hotel lobby at 8:06 am . Since he was late we were just about to end our breakfast that we were having near the lobby itself . We asked him to spare us two minutes we will just wash our hands and come while my elderly mother who is 60 years old , is as about to get into the car . When my mom asked the driver about our luggage he told her to shut up and get into the car !!! Then he started yelling and was about to go away without picking the rest of us up , when my mom had to literally shout and beg him to stop the car . Then as we went inside the car after all of this we wanted to ask if our luggage is inside the car as we have our passports in it, he kept showing his watch that we are late and refused to answer about our luggage !!!!!!!! Going to a foreign land so far and not getting a sure answer about our luggage or passport and leaving us behind while he himself is late , is this a way to behave with guests ???? Then we again had to request him many times when he allowed us to check the luggage . After we got down at the pier , he even handed us some dirty wrappers and napkins and which we don’t know why he did ??? While he thanked and greeted the other guests who were all from other countries . My 60 year old mother and rest of us all felt very humiliated and racially attacked for no reason . We had reached the pier 30 mins in advance so why behave like this ??? If he was so much in a hurry why did he come late ?????? And how can he not answer about our luggage which has our passports? And why would he hand over garbage to us ??? I believe Thai people are very friendly but this man’s behaviour was absolutely disgusting and he made us feel terribly scared for no reason !!! So kindly don’t book with them . You will get other companies who are far more hospitable and professional.

Use a speedboat instead

The ferry is old. Toilets are dirty and no foods offered during 2-hours journey (we don't mind paying). Consider using speedboat instead since travel time is shorter.

Dear Gunanta_A Thanks for your review. The toilets are cleaned before every departure, unfortunately we cannot control the guest's behavior during the trip. The ride can be sometimes a bit rough due to the sea conditions in low season that why we do not offer any foods as it is just a short journey.

Dear Lim_G Thanks for sharing your experience and opinion. We do pickup service mainly from hotels in Ao Nang and Krabi Town for the transfer to Phi Phi. The price usually includes a pickup service. If you come from the airport you have to take a taxi as it is quite far from the pier.

Perfect service! Ferry was nice with great aircon and smooth journey. The ticket included a pick up from ao nang - I didn’t need this but the service provider proactively reached out to me to see where I wanted to be collected from and we discussed some options. As I was not in ao nang it worked out easier for me to get to the pier myself. Just really excellent service in making sure the transfer was arranged if I wanted it.

Simple, sweet and smooth. The ferry ride took about 1:50 and was a beautiful trip without any hassle. Do not come too early as at the Krabi pier, there is nothing to do than waiting.
