Exceptional

Our shore excursion on Ko Samui with Mr Samui exceeded our expectations. We had a great driver who skillfully navigated the narrow and often congested streets. Jane, our English speaking tour guide, was exceptional. She not only shared with us her vast knowledge of the island, its people and the local sites, but she also squeezed in an extended stay at a beautiful beach where our group relaxed, got Thai massages, and enjoyed drinks at local prices. Our only regret was that the shore stay was way too short.

Perfect intro to Samui

As a solo traveler, it was a great way to see the island. Noom was a wonderful guide, knowledgeable, kind and very flexible with the itinerary. Highly recommend this tour for an intro to the island - whether you’re looking for the prettiest beaches or want to learn about the heritage and the locals.

We were Picked up in top end 4x4 Very clean and very cool ideal for the summer heat Tour guide Noon was very accommodating with professional driving and knowledgeable about the area The tour is tailored around you We asked to tour the main sites with some lunch thrown in If you do a bit of research you can request your own stops Like a very cool beach bar in fisherman village, we drove past it but went back a few days later Most of the sights in Koh Samui are a mixture of temples and gimmicks with stunning viewpoints thrown in 6 hours is plenty of time and a good way to see the island if you don’t fancy risking a scooter

We had a wonderful day with Mr Thai. Learnt a lot about ko samui at each of our stops and had a lot of laughs . It was also a relief to get back to the comfort of the a/c van. Highly recommended this private tour.

Poor start and poor English, but courteous

We got off the cruise ship and the 4 of us looked for our guide; couldn't find him at pier so we walked to the end of the pier and still couldn't find him. We finally called Viator/Mr Samui, was told that the guide was there, that he will come to our location. We finally met up, but we expected a "Mr. Sulphot" as we were told on the phone, and instead was greeted by "Mr. Wit". This took already at least half an hour, in the hot sun, to find each other. He was polite enough, but his English was limited and could not provide commentary on the areas we were driving through, as well as other points of interest. So we lost out on an educational portion of our tour. He took us to where we wanted to go, and was courteous, but unfortunately it was a poor start as we wasted time in finding each other at the beginning, and his poor English was not helpful in understanding our surroundings and the culture. This was not what I expected from Viator and would request a refund.

We initially went to one of the numerous elephant sanctuaries in Ko Samui. The animals were well taken care of and beautiful. They also enjoyed the watermelon feeding we provided to these magnificent beasts. We then visited several of the beautiful temples found throughout the island. Lastly, we visited the grandfather and grandmother rocks found along the coast. Very interesting!!! As it was becoming quite warm, we skipped lunch and returned to the ship. A wonderful day on the island of Ko Samui highlighted by the elephant sanctuary.

Bin was the best guide ever. He customized the tour for us and we saw and did everything we wanted. We felt sorry for the canned tours in huge busses.

The best way to explore Koh Samui in a day

We booked a 6hour private tour on the 3rd of January. Our driver , Noom was very flexible and friendly. We ended up extending our tour to 8 hours, we visited all the places we wanted, at our own pace in a comfortable car with AC, even visited a rum distillery and had dinner at a very good local restaurant. Noom was the perfect guide, we've learnt a lot of interesting facts about how local people live, the culture and about Koh Samui in general. Thank You for the wonderful sightseeing experience, we truly recommend it!

NO SHOW

DO NOT USE THIS OPERATOR! We had communicated daily on pick up time and pick up spot. The morning of the tour the guide was a NO SHOW. We waited, contacted the tour operator and no response. We then contacted Viator. Finally Viator told us they would cancel the tour and refund our payment. We were only on the island for a short period of time and lost time. Very upset

PK, our guide, and Man, our driver who apparently work for a local tour agency called Mr Samui did an excellent job. After we tendered into Koh Samui, we met them and took off from Nathon Pier. They showed us every bit of the island. We went to the Samui Elephant Sanctuary, the Namong Waterfalls, visited a Buddhist Temple with a mummified monk, Grandmother and Grandfather Rock, and visited a very large temple with many Buddha's. We learned about the harvesting of coconuts by trained monkeys and about Dorian fruit. PK brought us to an excellent beachside restaurant and had us served with the local Thai cuisine for lunch while we sat at a covered table near the beach and enjoyed the view and the breeze. We were returned to the pier in plenty of time to be safely back on board by the deadline. PK was informative, friendly and easy to be with. She did an excellent job of sharing the highlights of the beach island of Koh Samui. We enjoyed every bit of our tour and would recommend her highly.

Arrived at the pier early, and Yankky, our tour guide, was already waiting. He helped us finalize our tour. We were able to see waterfalls, temples, beaches, and even enjoy some local ice cream! You can design the tour to your liking. Yankky was very knowledgeable and personable. The air-conditioned van was comfortable with plenty of ice cold bottled water. Would highly recommend.
