      Important information about your meeting point: Hotel or apartment guests: For the meeting, please meet your guide at the reception, and if you are staying at an apartment, your driver will be at the address you provided on the booking. Your guide will arrive at your pick-up location 15 minutes before the start of your tour to pick you up. We will notify you if there are any changes. Cruise Ship Guests: Your guide will welcome you with your first or last name on a sign in front of the cruise ship exit/entry gate where your ship is docked. Walking away from your ship, you will approach a security checkpoint gate. When you exit the gate, walk straight forward, and look straight ahead. Your guide will be there 15 minutes before the start of your tour to collect you. Please Note: If your tour starts at 08:30 Local Time, your guide will pick you up 15 minutes (08:15) before the start time of your tour. IMPORTANT: We are reminding you that ship and local times might differ. Please check it before the Tour starts time. Very IMPORTANT: If you don't see your guide with your name, please stay at the gate of your ship and do NOT walk away and look for your companion; let your guide look for you. Guests who book a private tour will not share vehicles with other guests. Our goal is for our guests to leave the Island happier than when they arrived.

      • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
      • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
      • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
      • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

      Salt mines in a little old pickup

      We were very happy with this tour, which we felt gave us a comprehensive look around the island. We were picked up from the cruise port on time. Our driver and guide Renny was knowledgeable and good company. The salt pans are particularly impressive, and our trip included a nice tour and tasting at the Cadushy distillery.

      Cactus can be put to use

      Tour of the island is interesting thanks to a good driver and informative tour guide. We saw how cactus plants can be put to good use (A drink with 20% alcohol, really!), how boa constrictors brought to the island 50 years ago is now over populated. They cleand out the rabbits, iguanas (yikes). Even sea water are harvested for salt, saw some beautiful salt fields. A morning well spent in Bonaire.

      Perfect tour to see the whole island

      You see all the important and beautiful spots on the island in a short amount of time. Just be aware that you will pass by some spots (no stop) and when you stop, you only have 5 - 10 minutes to take photos. The description makes this clear but we had a woman in the group that was complaining about the short amount of time at each spot. Sandra is an amazing guide. She brings out the interesting facts about the island.

      made our day where it could have been a disaster

      we missed the original tour guide at port due to miscommunication however when i called viator worked for us to get later tour which we got 3 hours later the tour operator from shekninah tours gave us a personal tour around the island which we extremely enjoyed. kudos to the driver but his name i forget. he gave us a local taste of what the locals do. Thank you for this

      The yellow cross @ Ronkin built in 2000. The salt site, the Pink ocean; it was amazing to expérience that part of nature. In general: It was a great experience. It's worth the time.

      The salt flats were great. We started with a bitter taste in our mouth. We booked 9 passengers in Match at a discounted price. Three weeks before the excursion we added a tenth passenger. They would no longer honor the discounted price for the 9 passengers. We all had to pay the current price

      Your guide did a great tour however we requested a vehicle to hold six comfortable adults which we did not get. Maybe looking elsewhere on next cruise.

      We specifically booked this tour because “that is a small group tour of up to 8 people per vehicle. Depending on the number of guests, you will be in a shared van, car or pick- up”. (Quote from our reservation paper work). Imagine our surprise when we were greeted by 20 people sharing a bus. Surely not what we paid for. Adding to this the bus broke down at Lake Goto, the farthest point from the cruise ship. We were lucky to hitch a ride in another tour bus that stopped at the lake. We have no idea what time the rest of the tour participants arrived back at the ship. As frequent Viator customers we expect a full refund for this unhappy experience. Please contact us.

      Unexpected surprises

      While Viator misplaced our booking, and therefore we started off with a slight delay, Melissa came to the rescue. While it was not her that was supposed to be meeting us, she went out of her way to ensure we still had a phenomenal tour of the island. This experience made us fall in love with Bonaire the most out of all the ABCs. Her tour and friendliness made us want to return to Bonaire again and again! The tour was a great way to see the island and experience a little of what makes Bonaire a beautiful island to visit!

      The tour was great, but the information in the email confirmation was not accurate. It stated that this “is a small group guided tour of up to 8 people per vehicle.” However, we had 17 guests and 2 tour operators on our vehicle.

      Hi Robert, Thank you for your message. Our van that seats 8 was replaced a few months ago, as it was no longer suitable for taking guests around Bonaire. Because of this we have upgraded to a larger bus that seats 15 to 20 people. We apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience. We do hope that you enjoyed our beautiful island!

      The tour guide was very knowlegable an friendly. He was a great guide. The tour bus was old, the a/c did not work and the seats weren't the best. We greatly enjoyed Luka's stories and the trip overall.

      Great Quick Tour to get a feel of Bonaire

      Very good tour. Our guide provided us briefly area of attraction on the island. The tour was not as detailed , we didn’t see the Washington national park, the mangroves. But we pretty much did a 360 deg tour of the island. Our guide provided us with water and pop. I would only comment that our transportation was a little older and i hope they can invest in getting new vans in the future. All in all. Very good experience. P.s- The guide can pick you up from your hotel. Let them know in advance.

Please know that we are working hard to replace our vehicles, but the new ones have been delayed in their shipment to Bonaire. As for the National Park, it occupies 25% of our island, and it takes about 5 hours to drive from the entrance to the exit over very rough terrain. This makes Washington Slagbaai a full tour on its own, which can also be booked on our website. During the North & South tour, we do get you as close to the park as possible, without going in. None the less, we do hope you enjoyed our beautiful island!

      We saw where sea salt is produced. There is sea salt all over the ground by the water that is pink. We saw flamingoes, birds, and even donkey’s. Nigel was an amazing tour guide.
