Nightmare

We were extremely disappointed with the experience. The van which picked us up had no Air Conditioner in the end and given it was summer and we were unfortunately sitting in the back we had a terrible time and were profusely sweating. The guide was not upto the mark and did not give lot of information about Pammukale and Hierapolis. Had a terrible experience for the price we paid.
9-hour Kusadasi to Pamukkale tour

We booked a 9-hour English tour beginning at 8:30 am, were picked up per schedule at 7:45 am by Erman, a very nice, knowledgeable, English speaking guide who advised he had to pick up three more guests in Kusadasi, then another six Spanish people on arrival in Pamukkale--this turned into a group of 11 Spanish passengers, and left no seat for the guide, who stood for the remainder of our travels in the area--the primary language became Spanish at that point. The tour itself was fine except for the time spent waiting, while Erman went into great detail for his Spanish guests before giving brief English comments. When we expected to be returned to Kusadasi after completing the tour as described when we booked, Erman asked his Spanish guests if they would like to go to an Onyx factory, which they did. We told him we expected to be returned to Kusadasi about 6 pm, and had other commitments. He said not possible and, after the Onyx factory, when we were almost back to the Spanish guests hotel, he asked if they wanted to go to a textile factory, which they did, and so we turned around again to tour a textile factory. We felt hijacked, and told Erman we had to be back to meet our travel group at 7:30 pm. Neither the onyx factory nor the textile factory were mentioned as part of the tour we booked. When we finally returned the Spanish group to their hotel, he took on more passengers and luggage for the return to Kusadasi, then went by the local bus depot and picked up yet another passenger so that the small bus was completely full again. The trip back to Kusadasi was a little reckless in places as they tried to make up time, but they did manage to return us to our hotel at a couple of minutes past 7:30. Not the tour we expected. Not the tour we booked.

Das umfangreiche Wissen von unserem Tour Guide Mehmet war eine Bereicherung, so dass die lange Fahrt angenehm verlaufen ist. Die Pamukkale mit den wunderschönen Kalkterassen und der interessanten Geschichte ist auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert. Vielen Dank für das unvergessliche Erlebnis.
