Our tour guide - Sadettin Akbaba (Alex) was wonderful. He tailored the tour to our needs and pace. I highly recommend this tour but not the summer months...it will be very hot. Even in April, it is already startng to get hot. Wear a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.

We had a wonderful time on this comfortable and comprehensive tour with Kusadasi Private Tours. We toured Ephesus, The Virgin Mary’s house, saw the countryside, and lastly had a Turkish lunch and viewed Turkish rug-making and silk production. I can’t remember our guide’s and driver’s names but they were professional and knowledgeable.

Surprisingly private tour

When I booked this tour, I didn’t realize it was a private tour. It was a huge surprise when the tour guide Ozge told me only my wife and myself in the group. Beautiful Ozge is excellent, competent, professional tour guide. I learned a lot about history of Turkey, Ephesus, and Kusadasi. Best of all, she can speak both English and Mandarin. Cost is very reasonable, much cheaper than the shore excursion arranged by cruise ship, in which you are in a group with dozens of tourists.

Many interesting stories from our guide - Iglu Tekdemir. She was so knowledgeable and made our trip really memorable. Flexible timings and no queues! Definitely recommend.

The day was really fantastic! Ephesus was amazing and definitely worth a visit! The city is incredible. Our tour guide, Alex, tailored the day to our request. Our lunch was delicious! The day was very memorable! We all would highly recommend!

Spent more time at rug and leather store than viewing historic sites. I was very disappointed.

Lunch was very good and our guide knowledgeable. The reason I gave this a score of 3 is that we were rushed through the ruins at Ephesus (we only spent about 1 hour there) so we could spend 3 hours looking at rugs and watching a fashion show at a leather store.

Wonderful Tour of Ephesus

Aleyna was an excellent guide. Her English was very polished, she really knew the history of the area and made it come alive. And she was friendly and personable. The driver was very professional and drove safely. The Temple and Library of Artemis are an interesting archeological site. The presumed home of Mary was nice to visit. Overall, a great day.

Walking where Paul and John walked. Great guide. Delicious lunch. So easy and less expensive than ship excursion. Very easy to meet up with guide. We were a group of 4 and had the guide/van to ourselves. Guide was receptive to adding stops to the tour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We enjoyed our tour very much with our guide Inan, not sure of spelling, he did a great job of explaining Ephesus and the ruins. He made sure we had a pleasant time. We enjoyed an awesome authentic Turkish lunch and a great exhibition of how the rugs are made. He gets 5 stars!

Our tour operator “Alex” was wonderful. Very informative and shared a whole lot of information. The pick up and drop was a breeze. The tour was wonderful. Seen a lot in a good amount of time. The lunch provided was delicious. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommend.

This was our favorite tour we booked. We had amazing service and our guide, Pinar, was excellent. Stress free and relaxing. We booked it outside our cruise prior to our trip and had plenty of time to enjoy unlike our excursion we booked with the cruise line. Communication was also great. I highly recommend this tour.

We were excited for our private tour! No big group or having difficulty seeing during the tour. We were surprised, however, that there would be so much "sales" during the tour. We made an amazing stop at a rug factory. Watching how these beautiful rugs and silk was collected was incredible. We did not know, however, that we would be put in a show room with 5 people pulling out rugs and laying them in front of us. We were very pressured into purchasing 1 or more rugs. They were kind, offered us Rockie, their Anice flavored liquor. We didn't get out for free! Then we made an unscheduled stop at a leather show room. The 2 of us sat alone in this dark room and had to watch a video then a fashion show. Of course we were then directed to the show floor. The least expensive jacket being $700. The sales pressure is crazy! Then we were dropped at the market by the port. Again, they jump on you to buy everything and it is quite expensive. I purchased a hand painting in a 8x10 hand made frame. He wanted $600. Got him down to $400. Still more than I wanted to pay. We had the store owner escort us out of the market area to avoid being grabbed by more sales men! Couldn't wait to get back on the ship! Our tour guide Inon was amazing, so knowledgeable. I was so impressed at the home of the Virgin Mary and the ruins at Ephesus. I do highly recommend this tour, just know there will be a lot of hard sales pitches!

The tour we bought was the All inclusive Private Tour: Ephesus, Artemis, The House of Virgin Mary, LUNCH for 4 person. We were disappointed that the tour guide did not provide us lunch. I personally asked him during the tour where is lunch gonna be and he said "at the hotel" but then when he dropped us off at our hotel, he went back to the van and said goodbye to us.

Our tour guide was excellent. The shuttle was very comfortable and a great way to get around. The tour of Ephesus was one of the highlights of my trip and really enjoyed the local Turkish lunch that was provided. I would highly recommend this tour.
