Magical day trip from Como!

Fantastic day trip! Como-Bellagio-Lugano by bus and boat with lots of free time to explore yourself. Our guide Sara was exceptional!

This’ll be the third time I have tried to review our Lake Como tour. There were only six of us in our group so we were combined with another tour. It went downhill from there. No audio, no water and worst of all the itinerary was reversed. The guide/meeting place were 30 minutes late. We wasted an hour touring downtown Como which took time away from the rest of the tour. We were allowed one hour in Bellagio for shopping, sightseeing and lunch. Ugh! Then we took the northern route to Lugano and were given train tickets back to Como because the rest of the tour was going to Milan. Needless to say, we left Lugano without seeing anything and left on the 5:07 train. I think a refund is in order.

The boat ride around Como and going to Bellagio, very informative with great scenery! Going by the villa Balbianello where they filmed parts of Casino Royale and Attack of the Clones brought back memories. Lake Lugano in Switzerland was nothing special.

First the tour operator changed the start time, then lost our reservation. After waiting 2+ hours, we were able to join another group, although the group complained about having to wait around to find and retrieve us. Most of the tour is on a bus, not a boat. The stops at Lugano and Bellagio were not tours, we were left on our own at the shopping areas. The boat ride on the lake was a large ferry with so many people there was no place to sit and you could not hear the tour guide on the lame headsets.

I traveled about 50...

I traveled about 50 countries, using viator ,veltra, get your guide now and then. Sometimes, the order of the tour has been swapped by the operator. Then I confirmed before booking to make sure that I have no need to take the luggage while travelling. There were 4 emails confirm back to me. But, it seems that, they placed me in a different operator and route, although it covered all what has been described. The tour did not start at 10.30 as the tour I booked, but at 11 am instead without informing me. They did not go to Cadenabbia as the last stop before cruising back, but go to this place on the second stop. Our plan is not to cruise back to Como but leave the tour at Cadenabbia. To change the order, it means that we have to drag the luggage to the ferry and Bellagio. Luckily the time allowed about 10-15 minutes that we can rush from the ferry to place the luggage at the hotel before crossing to Bellagio.

I think there was a missunderstanding in our mail, we told you that last stop was Bellagio, and we asked where you prefered to stop in Cadenabbia or in Bellagio with your luggage, by the way during the trip, we spoke with our guide that found a solution for your problem, about the starting time we write 10:30 as meeting point but tour always leave at 11 if all the guest is not sharp, we are sorry if that was not clear in description we will correct it.
