Overview
Italy’s Piedmont region is known as a gastronomic capital. On this private tour, you won’t just get to taste some of its most famous culinary products—you’ll go behind the scenes and see how they’re produced. First, join a truffle hunter and his dog on a walk, and see if you unearth any treasures. Then, transfer to a family-run winery, where you’ll learn how wine is made and enjoy samples of Barolo. Note: occasionally, the truffle hunt may be shared with a few other guests, in order to preserve the delicate environment where truffles grow, endangered by the recent climate changes

We adored being taken on a truffle hunt by avid enthusiast Enrico and his trusty hound Lisa. Ambling through the woods was the perfect afternoon activity in Piedmont, crowned by finding three different truffles. Our guide and chauffeur Sander made the excursion so interesting with his wide knowledge and great language skills, and we discovered Barolo wines as well. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Thank you all.

Our guide, Marco, was very knowledgeable about the area and provided a lot of information before the hunt. Leeza (our truffle dog) and Enrico were wonderful. She worked hard and found 4 truffles. They were both energetic and enthusiastic to make sure we had a great experience. Then Marco took us to a beautiful winery where we had a personal tour and tasting. Overall it was a fantastic afternoon.

Our guide Marco was amazing! We started with the best vineyard tour and tasting we had in Piedmont. We got to watch the grapes being brought in and the initial press. An added bonus was we met the winemaker. The highlight was the truffle hunt! The dogs were really friendly and the forest path was beautiful and an easy walk. The dogs found 4 black truffles that were ready to harvest and one white truffle that was a couple of weeks away from being ready to harvest. I highly recommend this tour.

Excellent way to learn about the region, the wines, and the truffles. Alessandra was very kind and picked us up in Alba for the tour. Our 11-year-old loved the truffle hunt and the dog. Giovanni was fantastic! The winery was great, and we sent a case of wine home. This tour is a fun way to learn about the traditions of the area.

We had such an amazing time! Marco was an awesome guide and so was Giacomo and his hunter dog, Mac! Learnt a lot during the wine tour as well. Definitely will recommend this to my friends.

Really fun day! This is exactly as advertised. Gabrielle takes you to an awesome vineyard and then. Truffle hunt. We learned a lot about both and actually saw the dog find some truffles! Definitely worth it.

truly unique and interesting experience. The truffle hunter, Giovanni, and his dog, Pearla, where amazing.
Our guide was really good and after the truffle hunting we visited a wonderful winery in Barolo.

Ottima esperienza in famiglia (con bimbo di due anni) per conoscere alcuni dei tesori delle Langhe.
Abbiamo passato una mattina piacevole con un’ottima guida che ci ha raccontato tante perle del territorio. Ci ha accompagnato prima ad una ricerca del tartufo in compagnia di un tartufaio ed il suo compagno a quattro zampe, percorrendo un breve tratto nella zona collinare fuori Alba (fattibile per tutti) e poi siamo stati accompagnati ad una bella cantina nelle colline di Monforte d’Alba, dove lo staff giovane e molto preparato ti da un sacco di nozioni e ti presenta un’ottima degustazione dei loro vini accompagnati da un piccolo tagliere di formaggio e salame.
